I've been using them for a while, towing my airstream and boat. I have been at or around the max towing capacity many times and have had no issues. Tows great. One thing I would suggest is play around with the air pressure settings on them because you want them at a point where they still allow...
Yeah mine rattles like shit on cold start but I absolutely love the level adjustment. I can't tell you how many business calls I've been able to take in quiet mode and people think I'm in the office.
Or it could be there is more air pressure from the V8 that yet requires another spring upgrade. Perhaps they were using the same modules from the Ecoboost models.
Little update. Got my truck back in exactly 2 1/2 days. All CSPs completed. So far drives exactly like before. Hopefully she's good. If anyone is from the Bay Area and wants a capable dealer with experience PM me.
I just attributed this to a high performance/hp motor. My Viper ACR does this also after warm starts randomly. Exact same thing. I think I recall other cars I've owned in the past also doing this. Not sure it's something to worry about unless we're talking about two different things.
Well she's going under the knife today. Talked to the tech who's done 3 R's and a few GT500s so I feel I'm in good hands. I figured if there are going to be problems I want to know before summer hits when I'm doing more towing.
How many people have actually done the CSP repairs including the front cover and valve covers etc. My truck is at the dealer and of course they want to do the job (because they get paid) but I have no leaks and no issues. I know at some point it will need to be done but my thinking is wait for...
Just hit 5300 miles on mine. No leaks, no issues other than a few minor glitches with CarPlay and bluetooth but I can't say that's an "R" thing. The truck shifts and drives flawlessly, I use the exhaust settings on every drive and have never had an issue. I've also towed my 8700lb. boat with...
Agreed, but a "recall" would make headlines and send the stock down a few cents. This goes under the radar, meanwhile we have dealers pulling bolts all over our brand new motors.
I think the echo eventually went away on my Gen 2, but then a new problem came about where it kept dropping the bluetooth after a period of time. Never seemed to be 100% right.
This is crazy, yours doesn't have the engine valve cover replacement as a separate line item - or maybe it's combined into the engine front cover. What a disaster this is turning out to be.
Just installed the airlift 1000 kit on my Raptor R. I haven't towed with it yet but plan to this weekend. I will say even aired down to 4psi I can still feel the stiffness in the rear. I aired them down to 0 and it feels much more like stock. I know they don't recommend it but I am willing...
Couple things I noticed, not sure if mentioned yet.
The front tow hooks look square, unless I'm delusional. While I like the look, why not match the rear tow hooks with the same square shape?
Not a fan of putting a bumper sensor in the middle of the fogs. While I did think the fogs on 2023...
My back seats came scratched up exactly like this. We thought it was the service department removing the plastic seat covering with box cutters, but after seeing this it may be something more systemic at the factory level. They are replacing all of my rear seat covers. Front passenger seat has...
When I was calling dealerships to find an allocation, I would guess 1/3 of them said the first allocation is for the owner or one of the owners of the dealership, the second was usually to some super fleet client/ceo of some corp. Also, this truck is the pinnacle of trucks for those who love and...
Sorry to hear about this. Sounds like a one off situation (hopefully)...on the bright side I follow a guy on IG who is absolutely beating the living heck out of his R and looks like he's having no problems.
