We measured them on a customer truck and that 1/2” was almost dead level. Going from that trucks gen 2 FRS at 1” preload (2” lift) to the gen 3 he only lost about 1/2” which would be closer to 1.5” lift.
Not sure where theyre math came from besides the shock body being slightly longer which is...
Yeah these are Offroading shocks. If youre a 100% pavement truck theyll still benefit but the shine is truly off-road and typically for street trucks I just recommend sdi top hats.
@omalley72 yes theyll fit and you shouldnt require any sort of trimming at all. It could be best to do a small level up front however.

You wont notice any fade when its very gradual and over a period of time. If you get fresh shocks youd notice the difference. Think about it like land shifting, you dont notice a difference because it changes over thousands of years. But its still changing. The same goes with shock wear ovet...

But id highly recommend the wilwoods over a standard rotor/pad swap.
So the Aero 6 kit still works with 18” wheels on the gen 1, however the TXR kit requires 20s.
When maintenance time comes the rotors/pads are in the 400-600 range depending on exact specs and pad compound. Its a full replacement rotor, not a two piece.
Overall the pad and rotor job is...
