Horn wiring!
I want to install an auxiliary horn on my 2020 Raptor does anyone know the wiring for the OEM horn and where to find the harness?
I’m hoping to tap the harness so my aux horn can be triggered from the factory location on the steering wheel but have a switch to go back to my stock...
Raptor suspension woes continue...
Just had the dealer replace the VDM on my 2020 raptor. Thus far since owning it brand new it’s been in the dealer probably 10 times for the same complaint of a harsh and uncomfortable ride. I’ve had one height sensor replaced as it was intermittent faulty...
So I was able to record the values from ForScan on the VDM module. Luckily I have Ford Performance engineering on my side of things. They were able to review the findings and didn't see anything too glaring for an issue but they did find that the output values were sending but slower than...
Ok day 4 of my truck at the dealer again. They have told me the “wet” on the ends of the steering rack is normal that it’s grease from when it’s assembled but they cannot tell me why my alignment never holds yet the alignment hardware is marked and doesn’t move. Onto the suspension issue. I...
Not sure if it’s a reset or not. Taking it back into the dealer on Monday 1/4 they have Ford looking into the issue.
Yes I’ve always had it running and in park. Unplug both connectors let it sit for a moment and then plug them back in. You might get an error code that says terrain management...
The ride height calibration must be done by Ford thru the IDS software. you can reset the VDM thru ForScan but from what I can tell it doesn’t do anything.
Anyone who has this issue if you wouldn’t mind trying what I did and tell me if it fixes your shock harshness issue. Did it again today and it worked until the car is turned off and back on.
The VDM is connected to so many systems it could be almost anything: steering, suspension, ABS, drive...
@FordTechOne any ideas on why unplugging and replugging these connectors with the car on and in park would fix the shocks from stiff to correct?
wondering if anyone can post the ForScan screenshot of there raptor that does not have suspension issues.
when you “delete” the live valve system you have to use a dongle to trick the computer so the drive modes still work. It plugs into one of those plugs in that module. I tried this early on with the system because with the live valve installed that dongle will put the shocks at full stiff as an...
I’ve been having suspension issues since day 1 with my 2020 raptor now at 30k miles in 9 months and it’s still never been right. Early on had a height sensor replaced then all 4 shocks as 3 were “locked” up and probably were since I took the truck home in the first place. Now moving forward...

Height recalibration needed???
Just had these front and rear springs installed. I was looking online and found a thread that said have the dealer do a Height Recalibration on the Live Valve shocks to reset the zero.
I went into ForScan and found the VDM...
Mine is to the point where its uncomfortable to drive. I think there is something that is causing a fault that is making the shocks lock at full stiffness. I think it might be time to go back to the stealership.
I went to the dealership today and was told by a few people working in service that a “rough” ride is normal for a Raptor as it has stiffer suspension tuned for off road specifically. When I had it in the dirt the other day in Baja mode it floated over anything it was great. It almost felt a...
I have a decked drawer system that I just installed it helped the rear hop a little I still pretty sure it’s a front suspension issue at this point. Taking it to the dealership next Thursday
2020 Raptor with 2600miles so far. Ive noticed both on street and on the freeway that it rides rough, meaning I feel every bump on the street and the freeways. It is really noticeable on the concrete freeways of Los Angeles. Every seam is felt. Not sure if it’s just me or I’m assuming that it...
