My sister's car tapped my front bumper the other day and cracked the plastic valence. Not trying to get insurance involved for something that I presumed would be an easy fix (especially against family). No big deal, I thought and ordered a new bumper cover online. Anyways, it showed up and I...
I got my rack from upTop Overland installed this weekend. They have a version for no bedcover and one designed for the Retrax XR bedcovers. I went with the mid-height, long bed, Retrax version. Here's a pic.
I just had my wheel wells Line-X sprayed yesterday and I couldn't be happier with the results. A little bit of running at the very top of the wheel arches, but no overspray and all the parts you can actually see look great. $225 at Steel City Line-X in Pittsburgh if anyone else in the area is...
I already posted a picture in the aftermarket wheel thread, but since this thread is specific to the 602s, here's mine. 17" and stick out from the fender about an inch I'd say. Perfect.
Yakima's are really nice racks. The one holdup I'd have there is that their tonneau adaptor reduces the offroad load rating to 180 lbs. There are a couple of posters on the site who have used them with a RTT mounted and mentioned that it felt rock solid though, so take that with a grain of salt.
Ultimately it comes down to what fits your needs. For example, some people want to be able to walk under their RTT when deployed, which would only be possible for an average height person with a rack of 18" or more (on a stock height Raptor). For some people (like me) it's more important that...
I'm not saying that you're wrong, but the shortest one I see on RCI's website is 12". And that's before the additional 3" that their tonneau brackets adds.
Just an FYI, UpTop Overland just recently brought out a full size track rack that'll fit a Retrax XR. I was gonna order it last week but decided to wait until this weekend to see if they run a 4th of July sale...
Just to clarify the 17" VenomRex's are still on national backorder. I ordered mine in February and am still waiting, so I'd recommend going another option unless you're really patient. I'm currently waffling between waiting it out (I really love those wheels) or choosing another option.
This is probably an extreme long shot but I figure it's worth a try. I ordered a set of 17" bronze Venomrex 602s back in February and was told they'd be on back order until early April. Well April has come and gone, and no one seems to have any concrete information as to when they'll be...
I added a Retraxpro XR bedcover last weekend and so far I'm pretty pleased with it. Next up is an overland bed rack. I think I prefer the functionality and looks of a rack rather than just crossbars but I also want something low to mid profile so I can pull my truck into the garage with an RTT...
I believe alternatively there are kits to mount a winch behind the rear bumper if you're willing to give up the factory spare tire location. You could always move the spare up into the bed.
The 602s come in 17” but not the 601s. Unfortunately they are still on national back order I believe. I ordered a set of bronze 17” 602s from Nick in February with an expected 4/1 shipping date. Unfortunately with coronavirus that appears to have been delayed. I’m still not totally sure until when.
I don’t disagree and in fact I’ve put off doing Eibachs just because I think I might wanna switch to the Fox coil overs eventually and don’t really wanna pay for the labor twice. However, do you really think someone that’s putting 22x10s on their Raptor has any use for Fox 3.0s?
Do you think the OP had any idea the ridicule he would endure with this post? I mean, I'm sure he doesn't care and it's his truck so whatever he wants to do, but... woof.
Thanks for the link, but that's an MX. I'm specifically looking for the XR with the tracks for a bed rack. It's a shame too because Columbus isn't that far from me.
I'm looking to buy one of these two tonneau covers and figured I'd post to see if any of our forum vendors can offer a deal. Or maybe someone out there has a used one for sale.
+1 It doesn't look like anyone has answered this and I'd love to know. I actually e-mail BuiltRight yesterday, but haven't heard back. I'd love to add the racks to my truck, but I want to know if I'm going to have to make a choice between one or the other.
That's awesome. I actually looked at the KB Voodoo at first and I really like it. The major holdup for me is that their "short" rack is 10" tall + 2.5" for the tonneau bracket. I think that would cause clearance issues for me (with a tent installed) to fit in my garage. So I think I'm going...
If you don't mind me asking, why'd you decide to go with the Ultragroove bed cover with the KB Voodoo rack? It's my understanding that the main benefit to getting one the retractable bed covers with the tracks (IE Ultragroove or Retrax Pro XR) is that it allows you to use racks that slide into...
I bought a 2018 SCREW about a month ago and I'm ready to start doing some upgrades. I'm looking to build my truck into an overlanding rig with an RTT which comes with some unique challenges, namely finding bed rails/rack that are compatible with a tonneau cover. I've done a tone of research...
