Yeah, sorry. They showed up while I was out of town a couple days ago. I’m flying cargo runs until Friday and then I’ll get some of them installed. Had my wife open it and the first thing she said was “Wife Mute?!?!” :D
Actually, it would still be pretty easy like this:
1) Buy and install the switch.
2) Use Forscan to activate the fogs
3) Add 2 wires to the BCM harness. Specialty Performance already sells the backlight wire that has a BCM pin and instructions on how to put it in the BCM connector. Just buy...
Yeah, I added the OEM fog light button and completed the existing wiring harness to use it. I have Diode Dynamics SAE yellow fog lights on this circuit. Now, instead of using an upfitter switch for these, I have them on the fog light button that automatically activates them when the auto...
Thanks, I did find C134 next to the headlight and thought it might be the 2 brown and yellow/orange wires, just wanted to confirm with a drawing before I mess with it. Unfortunately I don’t have any Ford connector pins. I’ll see if I can find an OEM connector I can rob pins from at pick n pull...
Hey Antho, I want to add the fog button like you did. I think I found C134, but I can’t find a wire diagram to confirm which wires are the fog light circuit. Can you give me more details on what you did at C134?
Oh, I’ve been looking for a positive offset bronze/black wheel that I like for about a year now. This one could finally be it.
Question, they call that first Riot color “Matte Bronze” and then use a product shot that looks more like some sort of bronze chrome, do you happen to have an actual...
I’m not going to run 50 amps, I’m going to increase my options though.
Upfitters 5/6 are fused at 5 amps, running more than about 4 amps continuous will blow those fuses. Those upfitter wires are also TINY. Doing this I’ll make ALL of my accessory wires 14 awg. I can pick and choose which...
You might be happy to know Rough Country upgraded their instructions, the new pdf has an optional page at the end. It shows you how to cut a red wire in the MLC-6 and use a fuse tap at a switched source to make it ignition activated. No more constant hot in your LJ if you dont like that.
I have an idea to buy one of these:
https://www.roughcountry.com/mlc6-multiple-light-controller-70955.html
But instead of using their switches, just splice the upfitters into the switch harness so that the upfitter voltage is the relay trigger for the MLC-6 relays.
After doing this I’d have...
I have this little kit, it gives you switched power under the hood without using an upfitter.

Doesn’t help you, but if anybody else with a 2017 needs it, there’s a wire in the door harness that could be tapped for this purpose. I used it to make my amber mirror turn signals also function like running lights, like they do on F250/350 trucks. They removed that voltage signal (in Raptors...
Usually the 17-20 kits have 3 pairs of lights, is there one more pair in the boxes or are you just selling the two?
Are these SS3 lights the “Sport”, “Pro”, or “Max” versions?
And can you confirm what beam patterns they are? Looks like yellow is the SAE Fog and white is the High Beam/Driving?
No kidding!
I'm in Utah but that's still like a 24 hour round trip drive for me. I'm in Salt Lake City and I fly a cargo plane to St. George almost daily. I'm usually pretty empty on the way back and could easily carry these. If you find yourself driving up this way I'd take them.
Hey no problem, I only found out about those micro3 fuses a couple days ago. I installed a dash camera over the weekend, and when I found those in the fuse box I simply started swearing at my truck because I know none of the local stores carry them. This kit is awesome timing, count me in with...
The retrofit source is always an option with their Morimoto XB headlights:
