I might be selling my Anitmatter 2021, no sunroof, forged wheels, Bakflip tonneau. 20,000 highway miles. I need to get a gauge on what this thing is even worth with the price increases and feature deletes on the 22 and 23s.
Can they mount and dismount without removing the beauty ring? I was more concerned about some tire monkey scraping them up or damaging the bolts if they need to be removed.
I wish I knew. I got in my truck on a real hot day and didn’t notice if that window was all the way down. I hit all 4 to go down about halfway to let some heat out. As I was getting on the highway I rolled them up and that’s when I noticed it all the way down.
Well I picked it up finally. Dealer had it for 4 more days to install switch, another day to attempt to remove the glue, another day to order the door appliqués and window run channel and then install those items on day 4. There’s still some glue on my inside window tint I’ll try to remove and...
I’ll sell you my 2021 with 11,*** miles and no wrecks for that.
I doubt the damage was too severe as I’d think the parts wait would be pretty significant to get a heavily damaged 3rd gen Raptor repaired.
Reached out to the dealer today, still no ETA on the switch from Ford. Getting ridiculous at almost 2 months driving this hooptie with taped up window flapping in the breeze. Quality is Job……. 9?
Smart. Loading it backwards would’ve likely made for a wobbly, possibly dangerous ride. Soft suspension on the truck and a short trailer needs some tongue weight.
Of course…no call and the truck isn’t done. Service said they are still waiting on the switch but they weren’t sure what part they actually ordered as the part number says obsolete and something, something, superseded, blah blah.
Dealer put the new window motor in today and……that didn’t fix it. He said the switch is bad, as was mentioned here. Allegedly they’ll have the switch tomorrow and get it replaced. I went by the dealer tonight to get my parking lot access card from the truck and of course it was unlocked in the...
They disconnected the motor and regulator to be able to slide the glass up. They had to tape it to keep the glass up. I stopped by a body shop this evening and got a guy to give me some crash wrap as they were closing. Much more secure! I tried to give him some beer money but he wouldn’t take any.
Pull it a garage out of direct light and I bet you find quite a few more. Sorry man, hail sucks. At least a good PDR tech can make it look new as long as the paint doesn’t pull off on those door frames and roof rails/pillars.
Fixed up like new. I’m sure the glue will come right off the trim after 6 weeks in the sun.
The service writer hoped he could get a motor on Monday, fingers crossed it comes in and that’s the solution.
The service writer came in and said it’s the window motor (on national back order of course). He said it was too hot to even touch. I’m skeptical it’s the motor and I’m sure they love hearing people say “well I saw on the forums….”.
They are disconnecting the glass from the regulator and going...
I’m at the dealer, they said end of July for an appointment. I convinced them to at least take it in back and try to get the glass closed. The service writer said they don’t have loaners and Ford won’t pay for a third party rental car. I understand the shortage of labor but I’m not driving this...
