I had a 2014 with 115k miles, had the kit in my car. I also at one point ordered replacement fuses. One day car didn’t crank, I knew right away what it was. Luckily the fuse burned but didn’t fuse so I replaced it. Later did the kit.
Can happen at any moment and leave you stuck.
Ended up going with Flood Ford. I have one month left of factory warranty, 17,000 miles. I got the 7 year / 60k miles for ~$1200, 0 deductible with the light warranty.
I drive an average of 7000 a year on the truck as the family car is an X7. That would put me at 45,000 miles in 4 years, I’m...
I quoted both and flood ford was cheaper. Also when I called Zeigler about using my second home, they said I'd have to register the car there. I called a few other companies that offer discounted ESP and they all said having my second address is fine. Once it's tied to the VIN, it would be...
I'm sure everyone knows by now, there some strange law that prevents others from discounting into the state of Florida.
I have a second home in Georgia, so I called Flood Ford to see how that works. They said no issues. I said even if the car isn't registered to that home in Georgia, they said...
I simply put a piece of black tape on the light sensor. I’m assuming if I set the switch to lights on, they would stay on even when you turn the car off but I haven’t tried.
I already reverted back but with the changes on forscan, I could click the light button all I wanted and the cabin...
It seems like the problem I'm having is only for 19+. I don't think they are that dim and I have the low beam still on. I ran my 2014 with the ambers always on and it seems right to me to have them.
If anyone has changes on Forscan I can make that would allow me to keep them on while not...
so a bit more research, it seems that the cabin lights being on has happened to others with 19s.
Anyone have some miracle forscan option to fix this?
Is my only option to put a piece of electrical tape over the light sensor lol.
I have a 2019, 802a.
What I want is low beam on with parking lights ie. amber halo and 5 marker lights on. I followed the spread sheet, was super excited got it on the first try. I also added the Lincoln auto close mirrors.
I did this all at my office and on the drive home I noticed that the...
That’s seems like a pretty ****** fix to the problem. I thought I read online that some had the ability to open it by pressing the release 2 times very quickly and that they even had to hand over new instructions to the owner.
Picked up a 2019 a few days ago with 16,000 miles.
Today I was going to get something from the bed, tried to open the tailgate and nothing. Tried pressing it multiple times quickly like I saw online but it still wouldn’t open. Even from the key. Car was on and in park, car unlocked and fob in...
I’ve replaced my front rotors and pads over a year ago and have never had great brakes. Under no speed can I lock the wheels, lower speed especially feels dangerous. How do I know if it’s worth replacing the master cylinder? Something I did notice is how quickly the brake fluid is looking burned.
Thanks for the advice. Sounds like a bit more work than I'm up for. The trucks transmission was serviced under warranty at around 60,000 miles. It looks like the pan was also replaced, so at a minimum, there was some oil that came out, probably a filter change too.
Now the trick becomes...
Called my local dealer again and they said they don’t drop the pan and change the filter.
the only they do is a “reverse flush” which apparently replaces all the fluid and somehow cleans the filter in the process. They want $220 for the job.
Does a “reverse flush” sound legit without changing...
So I’m nearing 114,000 miles now and a still a bit torn on wether or not to do a fluid/filter change on the transmission. Not a whole flush. I called my local Ford dealership recently and asked what the cost was, they basically told me it wasn’t possible to change the filter and that it’s a...
Installed the diff last weekend. Used the included gasket and got it down to 20 ft lbs. 14 just didn’t seem like enough.
No leaks as of yet. Threw in some amsoil 75w-140
Installing the FP diff cover tomorrow and I see some conflicting information on torque spec for the bolts. Is the correct one 14 ft lbs?
Also I started to see recommendation for lube locker gaskets. Is the one that comes with it really that bad? Plan was to install tomorrow and I don’t think...
Finally got around to doing the kit today. Too me much longer than expected due to the usual delays... missing sockets, dropping bolts, etc.
The biggest pain was getting the fuse box open. This is really what kept me forming doing this right away. I managed to get it open just enough to work on...
So my fuse 27 just went out and replaced it with a new fuse until my kit arrives.
I wonder if this caused the issue as now that I have a new fuse, the starter has not acted up.
