I didn't think about that before when I was running the self test but it makes sense now. Are you saying the AMP running boards could be causing the problem? When I left the dealership yesterday and they started acting up, I disconnected them from the OBD port but the problems with the lights...
Looking to clean up my wiring to my battery (pics attached) and was wondering what different options are out there and what has worked and not worked for people. I was looking at possibly doing something like one of these but open to suggestions...
I dropped my truck off at the dealer today at 7:45am and went back at 6pm and they still had not looked at it. I ended up talking with a tech who then hooked his computer up to it and he did not see any codes but when he did the self test on the BCM he got the same (2) codes: Code B143B-...
I am trying to find out how many and locations to all of the ground to body and/or frame on my 2017 F150 Raptor. I have been searching the web and have not found any complete lists/diagrams. I want to clean up all of them as the (2) on the passenger side frame had light corrosion but were...
UPDATE: Friday, I ended up disconnecting the ground cable from the body to frame (front passenger side) and the one on the passenger side frame rail (transmission module?) and cleaned everything up with a wire wheel on my drill. Put it all back together and sprayed it with some undercoat and...
Well today I was driving and the problems came back. I went and pulled the fuse #23 (10A) and it was not blown but I replaced it anyway and all was back to normal for the rest of my drive but the next time I got in the problem was back??? My fuse box at the passenger kick panel does not seem to...
Knocking on wood as I type this, but I seem to have corrected the problem. After disconnecting all my after market accessories, I went through all the fuses testing them and making sure they were seated. I ended up replacing #23 (10A) even though it was reading continuity since it was a...
Are the sliding rear window and sunroof on this same circuit? My sun roof does not work at all right now and the rear sliding window keeps opening on it own. I could hear the relays for the sliding window clicking the other day while I was under the hood looking at the grounds. Thanks
Thanks. Nothing spliced into the headlamp switch/circuit that I am aware of. I assume the cargo lights are on that circuit to go off when the headlights go off as well?? Is the rear cargo window on that same circuit? I don't understand why it is opening on its own and not closing?? Just...
Thanks for the input.
I believe the relay that was clicking is to close the rear cargo window. I think there are (2) relays for it, one to open and one to close and they are side by side, but I may be mistaken. I am still trying to check all the grounds. I will look into the upfitter console...
Thanks for the reply. I do not have an OBDII splitter, so I have to unplug the AMP steps to hook up ForScan. I have tried several times to clear the DTCs with the steps unplugged. I have (3) light bars and an on-board air compressor hooked up to the upfitter switches.
Yes sorry. Unplugging the AMP steps from the OBDII port does not change anything other than the steps don't work. The error messages and lights stay the same.
My problem started Sunday and is intermittent but seems to be becoming more consistent:
My interior map and cargo lights have begun strobing/flickering on and off. Regardless of the door(s) being open or closed
My AMP running boards deploy and retract at random
A message pops up on my screen...
So to make things stranger, my rear cargo window has started to fully open at times and then will not respond to the switch to close it. After cycling the key once or twice I can get it to close. I pulled some codes with ForScan today but not sure how much help they will be
On my 2.5hr drive home yesterday, the interior lights started flickering on and off. It happened as my son got in the back seat and closed the door. The lights began flickering, and my running boards started deploying and retracting at the same time a message popped up on my screen saying Front...
