Good question. I didn’t notice it til after I purchased my used Gen 3. Has 13k on it. Only seems to do it when I remote start. Doesn’t seem to affect anything…so far.

They take some work and care to get in. Don’t force anything. Get one lined up and adjust them until the others are lined up and then push them in. Take your time and do not force. There shouldn’t be any reason to cut tabs off.

If your AC smells sour on startup, make sure you check under the passenger side floor mat and see if the carpet is wet. My 18 is getting ready to go for this same issue. Sour or mildew smell is intermittent, but wetness under mat has been constant. There is a TSB for it...

Silicone spray lube works very well on the back panel. I still had a slight bit of noise after using the grease, so I soaked the entire seal of the back panel with silicone spray lube. Let it sit overnight and it was 100% gone.
