I had the same issue. I bet it is the Bushing on the Shock absorber. I replaced the end links and sway bar bushing until I figured out it was the lower shock bushing.
Speacking from experiance. I got sucked into to paying this on my new 2014 Raptor. I'm now at 215,000 miles and never claimed anything on the warrenty. Waste of money.
I have a 2014 with 203000 miles. At 150,000 it dropped an exhaust valve on the cylinder right in front of the driver. No engine damage but it did cost $1000. The only other thing is I rebuild my shocks at 130,000, then at 200,000 replaced them. Very reliable truck.
I know I'm going to get "flamed" for this question. But does anyone make a shock to replace the Fox rear shocks that is economical? I'm getting tired of spending $150 a year to rebuild mine. Is there a standard type F-150 shock that will work? I'm not jumping my truck or anything like that...
I'm chasing the front end clunk. I replaced the sway bar end links but can't find good sway bar bushings. The sway bar is 27mm or 1.06". Ford wants $30 for each of the same old soft bushings. Who sells some good stiffer polyurethane bushings that fit?
Thanks

I have a 2014 raptor with 169,000 mile never had a problem. Replaced spark plugs at 160,000 miles. Today sitting at a stoplight first thing in the morning the engine started missing. I thought I just got a bad slug of gas, so I drove it to a Shell station and filled the tank. After 30...
