We have been to many places for many different tests. We wanted to make sure that the Raptor was exceptional in the higher speed desert running, but also very capable in all other off-road Terrain's like snow, mud, water, etc. We have spent time in the Moab, Drummand Island in Michigan, and...

Wow. Too many to list! Everything from the 1st durability test that we ran in Borrego to trying to keep the Raptor undercover as long as possible, and the reaction of the media and you (our customers) of the trucks.

The cooling system is very Robust on the Raptor. We have been in the desert many times in temps like you saw. There are minor differences in the 5.4L (grill opening area and sealing) and a number of differences with the 6.2L cooling sytem (radiator, fan, grill opening area).

Thanks for all of your questions. I will try to answer some of them: * Agree with you regarding the front sta-bar. We do need the front sta-bar for on-road stability, steering, and handling. We have and will continue to look and evaluate different ways and systems to dis-connect the...

Being crazy engineers and performance enthusiests ourselves there are a lot, but when you look at the truck compared to anything else out there, this truck is really unique and has tremendous capability. We are really very happy with what we were able to put into production.

It all depends on what you want to do with it. Using the detents would raise the front ride height of the truck and would give you more jounce travel, but take away rebound travel. This would really change how the truck rides and handles on and offroad especially when taking in consideration...

I do not know, but would expect that it would. Standard warranty for all Ford Cars and trucks is the 3/36 for all parts (except Powertrain based parts) including the Fox Shocks.

We use many of the area's of the large park, but I think that there was a story that had the route that we used for media event last year. I can not remember the magazine though.

This was one of our first prototypes which was about 1 year before production. This was in the winter of 2008/2009 in Borrego.

Our wheels are designed to meet many different requirements that include ultimate strength and fatique. We also make sure that the wheel has the correct stiffness and modal response so that the truck will steer, handle, and be as quiet as possible for the life of the truck. Some aftermarket...

No. The 5.4L is a very well developed engine and calibration. Warranty for the Fox Shox is the same as 3/36. They are not rebuildable at this time. They have to be replaced with a new shock assy.

We are very happy with the 6R80. It is a bullettproof transmission. Shift quality is a very difficult thing to get right for everyone. We continue to improve with our development. The reason for the differences is just the evolution of the Control system archetecture. The 5.4L system...

No plans at this time for the Baja 1000. The lift block was used in order to make sure that we have the right amount of rear travel without over stressing the leaf springs while at the same time putting the jounce bumper interface in the right position. Regaring the tire, we took the already...

A lot. The biggest issue was getting the body to be able to go down the line. We had to literally move structural posts in places to allow enough space for the wider box outer to be able to pass down the line. This really was a huge task that none of us throught would be possible. Our...

There is a really nice video of the entire series of event leading up the the race in 2009 that does a nice job of describiing all of the problems. In general it was really getting the truck built and getting all of the bugs worked out of it before the race. I do no know about the bumpers in...
