Hey guys,
I’ve been having a weird problem, when using cruise control after about 20-30min it displays the “check brake system” message and the brake pedal is hard to press for the first time only, without using cruise control (just completed a 5 hour leg of a road trip) there is no “check...
A person paying 90k for a Raptor shouldn’t be worried about mpg and especially if they purposely put bigger tires, i upgraded mine from 33 to 35 and the diff was not even close to 2mpg.
I would partially agree since larger wheels add weight to the car and have more wind resistance increasing the drag coefficient resulting lower mpg.
Either way it is a BS label as the difference in both cases is negligible.
Fishy, so for 50$ i can pollute more without anyone knowing that i deleted the stop/start (with say a sticker on the back) but i have to have a sticker saying that my truck have bigger tires and is not as efficient as a normal truck that might not have stop/start???
I am not sure about the Bronco but in the case of Mustang
I am not sure about the Bronco case but in Mustang case it is a totally different engine and many more changes that surely are major in mpg impact and it make sense, here we talk about upgrade from 35” to 37” tires.
If i ordered a BMW...
If this is true then i assume we should see all manufacturers listing the wheel/tire sizes on their cars/suvs/trucks now?
i’m thinking you confuse the EPA with California…
kind of remind me of the stupid stop/start system, should i also thank Ford for not giving me the option to permanently...
Big bull-C for “fuel economy”?!?! Now i know for sure that something is seriously wrong with Ford!!
I don’t see Prius put “15” decal on and they are very efficient on the other hand i don’t see decals on monster trucks stating their wheel sizes…
Just a dumb question, why don’t you get a v8 Lariat and find a company that installs a “Raptor” kit? It will have more power and looks similar…
I saw on YT there is company in Houston doing this.
If a Lightning gets 300mile range, a Lightning-Raptor will probably not be able to cover more than 200miles, Ford need to go back to the drawing board… pronto!
It’s a joke, they put some bigger tires and makeup on a Gen2 and call it Gen3, i’m not even thinking about getting one, the Raptor R rumors talk about a V8 but probably a price tag of the Ram TRX, better to buy basic F-150 V8 and mod it the way you want, heck - i even think about electric truck...
Guys,
The dealer tells me that error is due to rodent damage to the knock sensor harness, problem is they ask for 1700$ to replace(!?!?!?), can I replace it myself? anyone know part number and how to do it?
I always volunteer to be the designated driver, do grocery shopping, go check the weather 2 hours away and whatever - as long as I get to drive my beast :)
It is an amazing machine, i recently drifted towards SxS machine, more parks in my area are available for those, was tired of going to the same park with the Raptor every other week.
