I just installed Eibachs, and I know that the Geisers are comparable to them. Based on what I'm feeling when I drive, I think that you'll find that the Geisers outperform the stock units in every way. I would not go back, and wish I'd swapped out all the springs sooner frankly....
Jesus I just saw how old this thread is lol!
I have a 92 F150 with the quad shock for an in and 351… I’ve been thinking about putting some money into it similar to what the OP posted here, but it won’t be a retro raptor that’s for sure! Good capable work truck though...
My tire guy says they don't do so good in wet weather. I was looking at them too. Now looking at the Cooper STT tire but it's on nationwide backorder....
Yeah we need pictures....also would like to know how your moon roof project goes. I have a '12 and was thinking on doing it just as a maintenance thing....parts don't last forever.
Added in Eibach front springs and Icon rears (plus the add a leaf), along with shocks from Shocks by Hammer...very happy with these additions. First real drive was today out to the Sun Valley Shooting Sports park in Moxee, WA, a good 330 mile round trip. The new suspension feels awesome and...
Where do I start??
Suspension upgrades...and by that, I do NOT mean some bullshit lift kit. Further, by bullshit lift kit, I mean ANY lift kit. That's what posers and flower bed guys and losers drive....
The loaded firearm that I am never without...
Really good tires...about to get rid of a...
Yes, Shocks set on low perch. The springs raised the front significantly. The new rears got rid of the Texas squat, now riding a little higher than the front. Settling down a little. Might put a tape on it tomorrow.
Couple more pics...the add a leaf rides real close to the frame in the front...thinking about taking a cut off grinder and trim a couple inches from the front to fix it..
The rear is lifted about 2” from the flat factory springs. I’m figuring that it will settle down a bit. Overall, the truck...
Shocks went in two weeks ago. Very happy with Shocks By Hammer! It took longer to get the $ freed up for the springs. Poly Performance in CA got them up here really fast though. $1500 delivered for the Icon RXT multi rate leaf packs plus add in leaf and all needed hardware.
Welcome aboard! Several WA guys in here. Brakes aren’t too tough. I put the Powerstop kit on my ‘12 and they work well. Not sure it’s any better than factory, but I do like the slotted rotors. Over a year now with no problems.
upgrading to something like an R1 Concepts brake kit would be a big...
I took the advice of II Sevv and ordered my Icon rear HD leaf packs (with added leaf) and U bolt kitfrom Poly Performance in San Luis Obispo. Ran me $1600 all up delivered to the shop in Redmond, WA. Should be here Friday.
I’ve had these shocks on since Saturday and so far so good! Ride quality back to “as new” condition. Pricing and service from Brian is top notch! Next up...Icon leafs and bump kit....
Got my shocks installed yesterday (Shocks by Hammer and Eibachs)....super happy! More details in the Shocks by Hammer thread.....
I do plan to upgrade to the 3.0's (the ones engineered for an OG Raptor, not the Gen 2), but for now, I needed to get the 94K mile shocks off the truck and...
This shock rebuild turned into one of the best things ever! Not only did I get really good looking stuff from Brian, but I found a local shop (Heads up Seattle area members.... Redmond Tire Pros (website here... https://www.redmondtire.com ) to do the install (I didn't want to roll around on...
Your shocks have to be periodically recharged with nitrogen. The valves are worth it, especially considering the modest cost of the valve install. If you upgrade to Geiser or Eibach springs, you'll likely stay at low perch, but if swapping out the rear springs you may need to go mid perch. If...
Got a text from Brian last night that my shocks would ship out on Monday...
FAIR DISCLOSURE...I paid extra to get the new shock bodies, but still, these look awesome! Can't wait to get my hands on them! Have a buddy coming over to help with the install.
My truck will go from this...
