Do you not realize that the majority of Raptor or TRX owners also own really fast cars? There is an overwhelming number of owners that you will see that have a Corvette Z06, Shelby GT500/350, Hellcat, etc in their garage along side their Raptor/TRX. People that like speed and power want that...
So funny to read post like these. I am at the same point with my TRX order. You think the Raptor orders are a **** show, you ain't seen nothin. I am ordering a Raptor next week and I will take whatever comes first.
Assume 15k miles a year and use the EPA avg combined fuel economy of both the TRX and Raptor and you are talking slightly less than $1000 more per year for the TRX. If that is even a blip on someone’s radar for a truck at this price level then they probably can’t afford it in the first place.
What? There is nothing to read between the lines. I plan to order both and then decide. I am simply explaining the different approaches for 2022’s. I have only searched locally at this point for a Raptor at MSRP, but will gladly spread my search just like I did for the TRX order.
I swear...
I ordered a 22 TRX 4 weeks ago at $9,200 off sticker, but I am still considering a Raptor. Unfortunately finding a dealer that will let me order a 22 at MSRP hasn’t panned out yet.
To the OP point, trying to buy a Raptor has left a lot to be desired. I am impressed with what RAM did on the...
I can’t even believe someone would mention Toyota in the same sentence as a Raptor or TRX. I don’t care if a Tacoma or Tundra will go 1,000,000 miles without even an oil change. Toyota trucks are soulless, gutless, chintzy and they ride like a box of *****. Who ******* cares if they are reliable.
This may be an unpopular opinion on this forum, but the Gen 3 launch has been a flop. They should have just waited 2 months and released it as a 2022. Those 2 months could have been used to build up some inventory and get trucks in reviewer's hands. It seems so rushed and disorganized.
I want to see how Ford’s new 5 link suspension drives. I’d like to see if any improvements have been made to the 10 speed trans and how the motor behaves with the shift in power curve they made.
I can’t imagine not test driving a vehicle before buying it, at any price, much less $80k. Most...
So defensive, odd. I do not own a TRX. I am actually holding off placing any order until I can see an Gen 3 in person. There is a lot I like about it, so I want to want to give it a fair shake. But to say it is a fact the Gen 3 is better off road and on road is strange to me. It is not fact...
Just curious, have you driven a TRX, to make the claim that the Gen 2 is the best truck on the road? For a "road" truck that is going to be really hard to back up the claim. For off-road use has there been enough real world testing to know which is better? Seems a bit of a moot point anyway...
Has anybody heard if the R will implement a full time AWD system like the TRX? The drivetrain in a big truck is my guess as to where any power-related reliability issues would come from, not the motor itself.
Lack of sound (no soul) and the small size of the Rivian are huge deterrents for me. This well may be the last time we have the chance to own trucks like the TRX or Raptor but we will have all the time in the world to own sterile emotionless EVs. I can deal with the poor gas mileage for a...
The Raptor may well crush the TRX in the Baja 1000. But the reality is the majority of prospective buyers are going to use these trucks to parking lot pimp, drive to work, take trips with the family, etc. Gravel/mud roads are the worst most of these trucks will see. I will admit I fit into...
New member to the forum here, been lurking for a couple of weeks just reading up and trying to gather information. I currently own a 2018 F150 but will be placing an order for a 2022 Raptor 35 or TRX here in the next couple of months. I am still on the fence about which way I want to go...
