The shock doesn't affect the ride height. It only affect how the springs bounce/rebound when you hit bumps, etc.

Brand new springs up front, 3 year old springs in the back...sounds like your stock rear springs have sagged a bit. At least, that's my guess.

Just a data point...when I dropped off the truck, they said they wouldn't need to pull the body. Everything went smoothly, and they finished in 3-4 days. It sounds SO much better now!
