Ok so i made the jump to e50. I have not had a chance to do any long range wot pulls but around town and under partial boost the truck is an absolute animal compared to even the 93 tune. The difference is night and day. Power is almost instant and you can definitely feel a significant power...
I am going to give it a go in a few weeks when the weather breaks. How is your fuel mileage? I am really not concerned about it just curious. I expect to get around 8 mpg or so lol
Thanks for the input. My fear is getting a crappy batch of e85 that is more like e70 or whatever and having the mix be way off without knowing. That would be my main reason for running the analyzer, atleast ill see it and can take it easy and not blow a motor.
I have the tune file but have been leary to try it. Afraid of having a bad mixture and doing damage. I am going to install an ethanol content analyzer first so i can monitor ethanol level.
Fitment on the husky liners is pretty tight and they are difficult to install. They kept pushing my fender flares off the truck and after spending an hour pinching my finger i got frustrated and started cutting them to make them fit and ended up ruining them. Probably better off because i was...
Looks like MPT is supporting the accessport now. Look on their website, they will sell you accessport tune files that look like they are tcm capable as well. This pisses me off because i bought an ngauge like 2 weeks ago. I would have preferred the accessport but wanted MPT and their trans...
I agree there is nothing the ecu will do to compensate but at least if i was able to see that say my mix was at e35 and i was running an e50 tune i could very carefully limp home and dump fuel or change tune files. Either way its not ideal and still a pain in the ass.
So many other cars have...
It gets driven almost everyday but i put less than 10 miles a day on it. I know the ethanol can be a problem on fuel systems and when left alone. I do alot of boating and worked on boats for about 10 years, e10 alone wreaks havoc on many marine fuel systems.
Thanks for the info, good to know. I am most likely going to try running e50 and see how it goes but I would definitely like to atleast have an ethanol content analyzer in place for some peace of mind. A tank of fuel under normal driving lasts me 5 to 6 weeks for the most part. I work in the...
