Geiser rears with Airlift 1000HD bags inside the springs. A little bouncy rear when loaded but its minor. I aired my bags to 45psi but I’m happy with the stance of truck while towing
I had added the Timbren bump stop kit and that didn’t help for shit lol. Next I added the Geiser rears that gave me a little height for the rear and a little stiffer spring. I think the ass will still sag so now I’m adding air bags to the rear. I got the idea from a few owners who are running...
Just my 2 cents on this subject because I’m looking at adding something for the rear but our trucks just have a really soft suspension and putting a cooler full of beer will make the ass drop so not sure a weight distribution hitch will matter much. I tow my 26 foot center back and forth from...
Following this thread closely. Please post pics of your set up. I have a 22 Code Orange Raptor and I tow a 26 foot center console boat and I measured my springs and I was going to order the airbags but noticed they had the black hd version but only thing that kept popping up was for Dodge Rams...
Sooo true! I towed my 26 foot center console from Jax to the Keys and it was not fun driving at night with that ass sag. I just upgraded to the Geisers to have a little more stiffness to the rear but I think I might buy the universal airbag lit that fits inside the spring and air them up whem Im...
So true! My Gen 2 had the upgraded rear end with Deavers and an adjustable hydraulic bump stop kit that helped with towing. Now with my Gen 3, the ass sags too much for me. Im towing a 26 foot boat
I just towed my 26 foot center console to the Keys from Jacksonville and traveled 900 miles round trip: drove between 65-70 mostly highway, averaged around 8mpg. Hate the ass sag even with the Timbrens. I’m patiently waiting for some rear suspension upgrades for the Gen 3
Wow! I thought I loved my Gen 2 but this Gen 3 is great! I ordered the Timbrens already from Michigan Truck! Lets see how this new girl handles the boat
Thank you! Did you upgrade the brakes on your Gen 3 for better stopping power? I felt my Gen 2 brakes were a little soft and ended up getting some drilled discs and better pads. I might do the same with new one too
Do you have any other pics on how the truck sits with your boat trailer hooked up? I just took delivery of a Gen 3 and I had a good setup with my Gen 2! It towed my boat pretty effortlessly. 26 foot center console….
Thank you Rengastarr and Hemmy for the pics! Im going this route for now...
I finally got the email from ford that my 2022 Gen 3 has been shipped! I keep following the forums closely because I tow a 26 foot center console boat and curious about the new Gen 3. My 2018 tows my boat just fine. I upgraded the leafs and got the adjustable bump stop from SVC and it sits...
Why do you say this? Just curious because I have a 2018 and I ended up changing my leafs and adding a bump
Stop kit to help tow my boat (probably looking at 7500 lbs loaded on trailer) and now I have a 22 on order that should come in sometime February and I need to find options for towing...
Just wanted to give another update about towing with the Raptor. The thing is a beast with the Deavers. I fueled up the boat close to my house and boat loaded with fuel was pushing more than 8K lbs (weight capacity) and the truck pulls it effortlessly. I also have the SVC hydraulic bump kit and...
Great! I like leaving out of St. Augustine which is about 25 mins south of me. Lots of sandbars and good fishing.
Mayport is also 25 mins north of me where many people like launching from. I have the St. Johns river a few blocks from my house and its fun for cruising but I like the intercoastal...
I haven’t posted in a while but I just wanted to get back to everyone about my towing experience with my 2018 Raptor. I finally got my boat a week ago and I installed Deaver leaf springs and the SVC Hydraulic bump stop kit. The boat is a 26 foot SH that has a dry weight of 4900lbs, twin...
