Thought I would post some updates on wheels we were coming out with. Sorry I did not post in a while, had some health issues that tripped me up, but back up and running now!
These wheels are the Bronze on my truck. I plan on Satin Black and probably a Graphite maybe with a textured or Gloss...
Hi,
An option for my truck was thrown at me to do a smoked wrap on the headlights. Any thoughts on this one? Anyone done this? How does it look, and does it effect the lighting by much?
Hi,
A quick explanation of types of wheels and how they are built:
1. Cast Wheels. These wheels are typically 356.2 AL wheels. Made by any of the following methods: Gravity / Tilt / Low Pressure / Counter Pressure (square). Porosity listed from highest to lowest in this case.
2. Flow...
So, here is a question for ya guys (and gals).
I have been designing and importing wheels for 20+ years, and probably 800,000 wheels. I have made wheels in alot of places, using various methods, so I am by far not new to the wheel industry.
For the Raptor and off road crowd what is important...
Got the samples in and one set on the truck. 17x9 +14mm offset. The Brushed wheels I have here and am looking for another local truck preferably in Katy to put them on at a low price.
Also, steamer to help remove the PPF. I spoke to Suntek at the SEMA show on removal of mine. With the Flares you do risk ripping it off, the longer it is on the harder it is to get off. Suntek makes 3 levels of PPF, the top being the most expensive.
Did ya ever find out where it was? I am having the same exact issue on my 18 and had it on a lift, looked everywhere. If it is a small leak I am guessing it disolves before I can find it!
We will have our samples soon in forge. If someone wants to try the split 5 spoke lmk. The other design I already am doing 2 sets as test trucks. The split 5 spoke, the hardest issue I am wrestling with is to do the face bead lock or no fake bead lock. I think if ya asked 10 people you would...
Samples and final renderings of some wheels we will be doing soon. I did 17x9 +13 offset, as I found the 0 offset that I currently have sits a bit wider than I personally prefer.
Our cast wheels will be made in an OEM plant, not based in China / Europe or the Middle East.
Samples we did in...
So my 2018 Raptor has 17x9 with 0 offset custom forged beadlocks. Stock perch height, stock tires. Rubs some on the inner weather guard which I zip tied back. Its definitely an aggressive look at 1.5 inches outside the fender in the front. We are in the process of designing some 17x8.5...
Just playing with the drawing and what ring I want on it, but here is a prototype drawing. I am going to redo some of the color and imaging and play around some with it.
Maybe also make the spokes more angular

I believe I am going to design it with a 17x8.5 with a +15mm offset. That will put me about .75" more outward than stock so I should not be throwing to much crap up and can stay at stock perch.
I may play around with the beadlock design on it and do it in a brushed graphite face with both a...
HI,
I was working on some forged wheels for my Gen. 2 Raptor (18), and see the forum only in Gen 1. Is there an offset change or difference in G1 and G2?
I was looking at like a 17x9, +10mm wheel or 17x8.5, 0 or +4mm offset wheel.
Any comments?
I was going to do a couple different...
Just seems odd the bugs etched it. Was not like I left them on there for weeks, it was days and not even sunny. I did not post all the pics of where it was coming up, just most of them. yes it was $1800. If I was to do it again I would go and do a ceramic clearcoat on the hood and bumpers...
