Are yours aftermarket headlights or stock (and if stock, Halogen or HID)?
I didnt really find the root cause, except maybe moisture, the problem stopped happening after I bought new headlights, but before I fit them..... OF COURSE! :)
Welcome! So there are a quite few shops around SLC that do the offroad side of the house, and then a couple that do the performance side.
I tried getting shops to get me in to do fox 3.0’s and deavers along with some other stuff, but never got a detailed quote or real answers/guidance - this was...
I think Ford working with Google on an entertainment platform is considerably different than building a car for Apple - so I will continue to guess thanks. But you can feel free to know everything, that’s cool
to be very clear, Apple was never going to acquire Nissan... they were hoping to collaborate on a car.
Apple won’t acquire Ford either. Would Ford be open to collaborating on a car? I’d guess yes
Sadly no, The dealership service rep hasn't been very helpful, seemed to be mostly talk. The issue remains :( and I continue to try find a pair of headlights to borrow or buy
Ford Dealership Service Rep got back in touch with me to see how things were - props to him!
I told him they were the same, except its happening less. Told him I cant find OEM headlights :( he said he would try source some for me.... so thats pretty freaking awesome.
Will see how it goes. I...
Dealership said they wont touch it with the aftermarket headlights.... even though I explained its the stock bulb and ballasts... -sigh-
Now I need to acquire a stock set of HID Headlights to take it back - yes he said if I did that they would look into the issue.
I did get the Transmission...
so true, all of what you said! aggghhrrrrr ! think I'm gonna stick with my plan and just take it in. I'll let you know what they say, might be Monday before I get her in.
Soooooooooooooooo I did a little more digging in FORSCAN and I got this.....
So my plan is just take it into Ford Dealership and act dumb and when they say a new BCM will be $1 Billion, I'll say cool, its under warranty - I dont think they can say the aftermarket lights caused this right...
Thanks Dan, I had thought ballast originally too, so only reason I dont think thats the issue with mine is because I switched the headlights around temporarily and the same thing happened (which is why I ruled out bulb, ballast, relay) in the headlight housing
yeah I dunno... I agree the BCM has to be involved.... but everything I can tell would be that anything up to the fusebox would basically operate both in parallel.
So, is this an accurate diagram of the wiring? If so, am I right in saying regardless of what the BCM does, both left/right (passenger/driver) side lights would operate together.... which would rule out the BCM?
