There are 5” tips already on it. Out both corners but angled down slightly. Looks pretty clean in my opinion. You can only see about half of the actual tip

I have decided to go with the quieter Dynomax muffler Ben suggested. I’m just now getting around to picking it up from my local Summit Racing. I will be running it with a Y pipe to dual 5” tips. I will post results when it’s installed

Gotcha. I’m assuming I would just have a Y pipe after the muffler correct? I have two 5” tips I want to keep on the truck

I didn’t see the first part of your message when I read it. I have 2.5” diameter piping. Not sure how much or a difference it would make

Gotcha I’ll have to try out that dynomax bullet then. I think the Summit Racing closest to me has it in stock so I’ll pick it up there. Might pick up a manual exhaust cutout too while I’m there lol. Thanks man!

That sounds about what I’m looking for. He has headers though and also has a Y pipe. If I get the exhaust cutout I wouldn’t have an x pipe anymore so that would be pretty good. I have a Flowmaster super 10 sitting in my garage and I’ve thought about putting that on as well but I feel like it...
And I’m not getting complaints as of now as it’s actually pretty quiet with this Super 50 on there. I just wanna have something that’s more on the tame side without having the rattling tin can noise and then with the cutout i can make it as loud as i want

That’s true [emoji23] the only thing holding me back from the exhaust cutout is that I’ve heard the electric ones always mess up. I would get a manual one but I’m not sure how I would even get the cable into the cab of the truck for me to use it

Interesting. It would only clap when I was driving normal not at WOT. It sounded literally like a jake brake on a semi truck while I was driving. Do you think the larger case would be “piss your neighbors off on a cold start” loud? I’ve thought about just getting an exhaust cutout and having the...
I cut the cats off my 6.2 Raptor and had tried running it with my straight through Flowmaster Outlaw Race Series mufflers. Way too loud. It clapped like crazy just driving normally as well. I put on a Flowmaster Super 50 muffler but now it is too quiet and makes a noise almost as if the exhaust...
I saw a video of a guy that had true dual glasspacks and it sounded like a “redneck-mobile” lol. Cool I guess if you have a square body on 44” boggers, not if you have a Raptor (in my opinion). However someone else may have glasspacks with a slightly different setup than him that may sound...
Actually ended up going with Flowmaster Outlaw Race Series. You can see straight through the muffler (like a toilet paper roll) but it has indentions on the inside to give it a distinct sound. Also going with x pipe and sticking with true duals

Thanks for the reply. I ended up keeping the true duals and am getting an x pipe with Flowmaster Outlaw Series Race mufflers. I was told it was make the tone what I’m looking for. Do you have a video of your exhaust?

Thanks for the response! And yeah I don’t mind drone. Just want it to sound as close to a trophy truck as possible (even before I do headers) lol. I have a Flowmaster super 10 I had on the truck before lying around so I figured why not use it! Less money I have to spend haha

Looking to get flowmaster super 10 muffler with y pipe and either no cats or high flows. Stock headers (for now). Dumped before the rear axle. How do y’all think it would sound?

Yes I am naturally aspirated. I talked to a guy and he said that putting a y pipe in will probably help with the sound I’m wanting to get. And it’s very loud when I get higher in the RPM’s she absolutely screams!

I have true duals no muffler, no resonator and no crossover whatsoever. Straight from the cats back dumped before the rear axle. When driving at low rpms it almost sounds like an air noise is coming out of the exhaust. I don’t know exactly how to describe it. It just sounds funny. There is no...
Thanks for the input! My raptor is very high in mileage so I’ll definitely get the shocks rebuilt! Also because of the high miles I’m scared of doing a supercharger.
