I put over 100k miles on my Gen 2 and never got a chip, crack or anything in the windshield. My '22 has just over 37k miles and I have 6 or 7 rock chips. I have always avoided getting close behind rock haulers and dump trucks. Just rando little rocks from cars hitting it.
Anyone else noticing...
So, I gotta go down to College Station tomorrow and do a starter swap on my kid's 2010 6.2. I have just about every tool known to man, but this is one job I haven't done and can't take everything, obviously. If anyone has some tips, I'm all ears. Looks like the top starter bolt is the MF'er...
My son is away at school and the lead frame in the 2010 transmission is going out. Anyone you trust to tackle the job? Or just take it to the dealership?
First, does anyone know if the Raptor part is different than the F-150? Maybe beefier to deal with bigger tire?
Before we bought the '10 someone had cut the cable and swiped the spare. I bought an aftermarket unit and the gears stripped out in short order.
Second, if anyone has removed theirs...
So, ordered some Ford upper arms for a 2010 and this what showed up from Car-parts.com. I am 99 percent sure it's wrong, but did they supersede the pressed part with a tubular part? Before I go off half cocked on the seller...
Yeah yeah. There will be jokes.
It hit 100 degrees the first time the other day. The Gen 3 seat fans are marginal at best. Anyway, it seems like there is actually some air movement from the seat fan when you lean forward from the seat a little.
I ordered a beaded seat cover and it showed up...
It's happened a few times and again today. Turn truck off and get loud chimes, somehow the headlights are on in broad daylight. I have to turn the knob back to Auto.
Anyone been faced with this?
So today my kid says he saw a video online of a guy "auto" closing his tailgate by nudging it up with his knee. Sure enough it works. I've been fumbling around looking for a the button with my finger for 8 months, harder to find than a g spot. I do use the tailgate several times a day. To be...
I guess it's the first time we've used the tailgate cam while driving. Nanny message pops up when I want to keep an eye on the straps.
"Full view not available." Well, no shit! The GD message is in the middle of the screen.
I think me and the kid tried everything to turn it off. Anyway, it was...
Are you on here? I came across this random twitter post, someone started an account making tons music videos of him getting out of his truck at work. lol. I don't get it.

Tried a bit of research but it's tough to sort out which applies to the Auto version of HVAC for F150's, let alone Raptors. Anyway, 2010 with auto AC stopped blowing at any speed and AC compressor not kicking on. The AC control buttons do light up and I can hear the door moving between...
So this is freaky. The Sync screen has gone dark and started right back up w/ the "raptor" screen a handful of times. Each time it's when I am within about .5 miles of a same spot. It did it once on the way to San Marcos and twice on the way back, real quick.
Each time I've been using Android...
Don't shoot the messenger. I got my '22 last month and begrudgingly paid the new higher sticker price, ordered in Dec. of '21.
I fired off a series of emails to the corporate types in Michigan. Someone here had luck with that and said he was reimbursed by the dealer after corporate stepped in...
I would like to enable reading a text on the sync screen while I am driving like I did on the Gen 2. Is this possible?
Edit: guess the R forum isn't the best place for this. I'm willing to take a chance though.
Home Inspector. I carry a couple ladders, tool bag and a tote full of tools and random things I don't use on a daily basis but need to have. Put 102k on my Gen 2 in a little under 4 years, now racking them up on the the Gen 3. The trucks have been a good source of conversation with clients and...
Twice today the screen went black for about 5-10 seconds. Then the Raptor logo starts up and it works again. I was using android auto.
Loose fuse, loose wire? Monkeypox? Anyone with similar issue? Truck has 1400 miles.
I finally tried out the cruise control with lane assist turned on for a good bit on a less crowded toll road today. I found that it works great if you keep your left hand on the wheel and apply slight pressure to steer toward the left. The nanny that tells you to put your hands on the wheel...
