it is irrestitable..I've had two other raptors, and this was too much to not... Honestly, don't even think i had that much over 100 if that... maybe that's why i have the squeak.. :shrug: :Good or Bad:
Yes they area all pros for sure.. they even stress, only go as fast as you are comfortable with.. hotel is not going anywhere.. and there's plenty of tequila/beers waiting lol.. One of the guys is involved with SVC and knows these trucks like the back of pants at this point..

yea.. I've gone with the stock 18 no live valves.. and it was meh.. that was two trips.. and those were the overlanding ones. Then got the 22, and wow, I mean, wow, it was 10 times different. that added so much. and now, now it has a two valve...
Been on 3 and going on 4th this feb..
Yes, they have all the tools/jacks, but you are to have your own.. if you cannot change a tire, well, have your girlfriend do it! :evillol:
They'll ask you if you're good or if you need help. And sometimes another participant will stop and help.. but you...
Well.. either way.. Ford approved, sent parts and fixed it within a week.. soo with that, I am thankful that they did not cause a fuss about it..
Thank you Ford. for backing your product/warranty..
Anyone want to know what that noise ended up being?
Quiz time.. lets take a quick poll
* IWE(s)
* Transfer case--
* U joints/drive line
* Front Diff

It's at the hospit-ealer
they 'think' it's the front diff.. have to wait till tomorrow when they actually ahem.. open her up. for record, I'm 4 months in owning this. Once 'off road' .. and mild at that.
will update..hopefully w/ pics as they have to 'document' this for submission to Ford...

funny, was talking to my car wash guy and mentioned how I have to bring it in.. and then, a tear dripped down the right head lamp! :lol2: it knows.. like the dog when you say vet!
anyway.. updates to come then..
The irony is they actually advertise these on dirt...so it's really a delema. of course, you should not go in there going, ahh maaan.. did this one little jump and whoa.. check out my video! :shakehead:
but yes. absolutely correct... just going in and saying.. I heard a noise when I was...
yes..correct. except in my situation its not the binding, that being there tells me its connected and the hubs are as well.. I was referring to the noise I keep hearing is either not there or not nearly as prevalent when in 4H.. and when I am in 4A, that noise seems to be related to this...
yea.. I hear them clicking when i change modes.. and thanks for the breakdown.. I have pretty good basic mechanical skills.. I built all my jeeps/trucks including axles, lockers etc.. this is the first AWD system I have dealt with and was wondering if the hubs would even waste the energy to...
Its a brand new truck, hopefully the fluid shows no prob.. yes.. the 4a 'on demand' system uses clutches and the the 'hi' locks in the front drive... i have only put it 4hi and NOT turned as I do not want to stress out the system on dry asphalt
still back to the 'ol IWEs.. huh.. ok. these are...
I did mention 2h.. it does not seem to make the noise. as far as the Torsen.. that sucks it does not have it any more. does this mean it's a totally open front diff now?
and for the plates, I was referring to the 4A mech in the Tcase.. Does it not use that setup for all wheel?
CVs look fine...
Yea.. great reminder to always check that for sure.. I was not the last one to work that.. but still no excuse. hopefully that will address that part.. now on to the noise, which worries me just as much if not more actually.. can I trust the 4wd system at this point? especially with all the...
Is it possible the front diff has gone bad already? Just read someone else's story and it turned out dealer had to replace it.. if it was either hub, think the noise would be much different and louder, right? almost sounds like a bad u joint.. when my jeep had that issue, it sounded similar now...
OK.. here's an update. Truck did another major shutdown last saturday night. threw another couple codes, however, it was only the bdy and headlight modules.. so thinking night time has something to do with it. Luckily, it happened while at a light about to go..as I was driving in sport for few...
well that's great. good deeds.
How can I begin to determine if that has damaged anything? Truck was running when that happened, and nothing seemed to fault at that time.
As of now, it has not shut off. However, I did hear what I think is the hub noise on drivers side.. but it was only when I...
Could removing the some of the shutters cause this? isn't there some kind of termination required for removing those or part of?
I will have to ask BDesigns next week about how they addressed the removal for the behind grill lights.. noticed that was part of the DTCs as well.
here's a random...
