    Awww that sucks! I also tried to jack up the rear but it made no difference. I can only guess that either that part of the pan where to dipstick would read from is elevated or there is something blocking direct access to the pan. That would have alleviated at least 30 minutes of plate removal...

    Long time lurker - finally signed up for an account! Anyhow, I had an interesting discovery today that I am sure you guys can weigh in on. First oil change (1500 mile break-in) and my plan was to use my Mityvac to just grab the 6 quarts out, slap a new filter on, refill and done... oh no...
