I feel like there was. Overall feeling of being more nimble. Went from factory wheel to FP forged.
Btw I did the same on my Gen 1. And also noticed it. On my Gen 1 I noticed a 1 mpg improvement on the highway going from a 30 Lb cast wheel to a 22 lb flow formed wheel.
Shoutout to FP Forged. Not only do I love my wheels. But I was paying close attention as I was washing my truck this weekend and the powder coat quality is top notch!
Depends, do you gave a 2024? If so… look for a R bumper. Buy it, then sell yours off. You will probably break even.

Most forged wheels are now weighing in between 21-24 lbs… I think the FP forged I got are right at 22.4 lbs. So when asking what is the true benefit, it is a stronger built wheel that weighs less than most cast wheels and significantly less than the factory wheels.
Less rotating mass performs...
