There is a downside obviously, carfax will show an extra hand once you mod your title. The truck will become 2nd handed. I done it few times with trading in other relative's want to sell car to save on taxes.
I would say, everyone's experiences are different based on what other cars you have had and compared to. Currently my raptor with 2 AMGs, 2 Teslas, and 1 range rover. Unfortunately, my raptor is the most unreliable one and broken down the most times. I have to agree with you a bit.
TRY to ignor them, I got used to my truck 37 vibrations. It's really not that big of a deal. Again, I have a roof rack with some stupid lights, wind noises are covering the vibration noises.
You can always use something else to cover it up. I cover up my amg lousy road noises with muffler delete.
Been to Durham town few times. If you want to enjoy all the trails, you better off with a smaller rig like an atv.
Tray mountain road near Helen is an easy wide trail if you happen to visit Helen.
Exterior is still debating, but the inside is way way way more quality. I saw and touched few 2021 f150 platinum, interior feels way more refined and detailed, or maybe I'm just tired of my gen2.
You can definitely program it yourself. Its pretty simple, just Google. Usually dealer will cut the key for free if you bought your truck there or service it there all the times.
I would just go with a regular 5.0 f150 for 30k and put a raptor body kit on it if you are planing to upgrade the whole suspension like link or long travel. This makes more sense to me. Once somethings goes wrong with the v8 raptor in future its going to be a pain in the butt to fix drive train...
