No, there is annual property tax on all vehicles owned/registered. He registered his for the first time, which is the sales tax, capped in SC at $500. He will pay property taxes each year thereafter.
In SC, vehicle/property taxes are a major source of revenue. For my 2018 Raptor, the 2020 taxes were $420, then $384 in 2021. They do the value on assumed value/mileage. Yours would be roughly similar on a '19, and maybe less depending on county...mine is one of the most expensive. You can...
The really hard/slamming 4-5 shift. I had it in my '18, and I took multiple techs for rides in it to show them it wasn't just a firm/hard shift. All were like, ooh, yeah...it's not supposed to do that. I had the PCM re-flashed multiple times and it would always come back. I've driven other...
For those of us that actually had this problem, that's just not true. The PCM re-flash doesn't fix it. And, if it really was designed that way, why? And why don't they all do it? This 10sp inarguably has some issues...my wife's 2019 Expedition has some of them, as well. Just this past weekend it...
For those who say "Why not?" instead of "Why?', there's this gem for bragging rights over...something.

Update, like anyone GAS...
Bought a '19 Limited with the HO 3.5L and 29K miles...told dealer I did not want to deal with the cam phasers again, please make sure had been dealt with, they did the current update (not sure if 21N03 or 08). Get the truck home, cam phaser rattle on startup cold...
Yes, I should have remembered that from an X5 4.4i Sport I had years ago that got out of warranty, but this car had a 10yr/120K extended warranty from BMW on the most troublesome areas, plus major repairs to those problem areas with the new/improved parts done by an M Certified Delaership, with...
FTOne...thanks...what I am talking about are entries like this from CarFax...2020 F150 Limited, build date appears to be just inside the cutoff, Program #21N03 for Cam Phasers issued here in November of '21, and I have seen it as late as Feb of '22 on these reports. What is this? I really don't...
So, I sold my 2018 Raptor in August after having the cam phasers repaired and experiencing some consistent transmission issues. I had hoped to dodge the price insanity by hiding out in a low-mileage 2013 M5 for a year or so, but that has blown up in my face spectacularly (another story).
I miss...
If yours is like/as bad as mine was, it won't fix it. It's in the evaporator/coils. I would not run it without the cabin filter...then all that junk is just going into the system to react with whatever is already causing a problem.
No. See my post #43 above...I went through it all/tried everything, and finally got Ford to admit there was a problem/split a fix with me. Decided to sell the truck before then.
How many times are you going to make this same, lame/"stale" joke? This is a legitimate issue on many of these trucks, and contributed to me getting rid of mine.
I remember when they got them there was an article in the AJC about it, and the GSP told people, don't even try to outrun us...we will catch you or you will die.
See this thread if it gets worse, and definitely try to handle it in the warranty period if you can.

The linked post is what I finally got Ford to do. There is a procedure in the shop...
Carvana got real in a hurry on the Raptor...the first time I got a quote from them in June it was $60k, Vroom was $63k. The next time I tried in July Carvana was down to $52.5k, Vroom still at $61k. Was going to go with Vroom until a local Ford dealer offered me $62k.
I do think the peak has passed, but the values are still up for Gen2s, in part becasue there's not much noticeable improvement in Gen3. I sold my 2018 802a with 44k miles to a deler here for $62k in late July. Could have gotten $64 for it in June. Ended up buying a 2013 M5 with 34k miles to try...
