I did a zip tie through some sort of a cross hatch of plastic and around door so I didn't have to worry too much about something else falling down into my fan again. Then eventually I had the door replaced when the dash came out for the clicking actuators and heater core.
I can't really help with info on the gen 3 but I believe that I read that some gen 2 owners found a dipstick add on for their transmissions. Maybe you can find something similar and consider doing that too.
Don't forget to get an underbody sprayer. I have the ryobi one. Amazon one has four sprayers but doesn't flip to wash floors and about half the price...
Remember. That only lowers by 1 inch. Of the two inches that the tire total height is different only one inch is below the axles adding height. The other inch is above the axles.
@jdm_sixtwo, Sorry it took so long. Every time I remembered to take a picture it was dark out already. Even when I got a picture it doesn't have the aspect I wanted. The mounting of my lights blocks camera view from the mounting. On mine there is another 1/4 inch or so thick plate running...
The round holes are "pressed". They have an edge on the inside that I wouldn't want a light bouncing off the back of. Recessing lights from the outside and mounting hardware from the back would have to go through the metal I think as the metal isn't thick enough for just a sheetmetal screwed...
Unfortunately, they are a some difficult to make pieces of plastic. Even the stick on covers cost as much as you're hoping to pay. A few years ago, I lost one. They were @$350(pair) at the time. I found some with lights for @$250.
They look best when they’re hauling a family or friends. Daily driving back-and-forth to work a scab looks better. I think the only solution is one of each and in every color.
I agree with swapping brake lines. My very first raptor I bought used had a caliper stick due to a brake line that would collapse. The brake line is easy to swap out and it doesn’t cost much.
Being a hitch mount that has to be removed to tow I would want either a 4 or 7 pin connector. Otherwise how would you keep from wrecking your light with the other wiring options while using the hitch?
