I've had this happen a few times in windy conditions on the highway. Drives me nuts! Would love to hear if anyone has figured out a way to prevent this as it's annoying AF.
I used the ADV Fiberglass liners on my Gen 1 and was happy with them. I would recommend getting whatever you use sprayed with Line-x as it will strengthen the material and it looks pretty close to OEM.
I moved mine from a Gen 1 to a '23 and it put the new truck in limp mode a couple of times so I removed it. Weird since I never had a single issue with it in my '13.
Yep. I've never had a problem, but most of the weight is on the bed floor and not on the panel. I've heard people have issues when they try to float the tank off of the bed floor where all the weight is on the panel.
Wheel and tire for both. I don't know how well a tire only in the vertical position would stay in place. I crank mine down when off-roading or the straps can start to slide off to the side.
