It sounds like you have been more than reasonable on this, but they are trying to get every last dime out of you. I would make sure the $1000 deposit is subtracted and then, tell them you do not recall anything about a $500 admin (100% Pure profit) fee. As you stated, they will gladly let you...
I owned Gen 1 and Gen 2 Raptors for over 10 years and I never once had to take mine in for anything more than oil changes. I sold my Gen 2 after 3 years for more money than I paid for it only because I needed a SuperDuty Tremor to tow my TT.
I bought a 2021 Super Duty Tremor to pull my TT, as the Raptor was not up to the task.
Spent two weeks in Yellowstone over the summer. The Tremor with Carli suspension and AirLift airbags did a beautiful job towing my 10K lb camper.
I sold my 2018 Raptor with an MPT tune in April to a local dealer in Houston who bought it for more than I paid for it new. I gave the dealer my tuner with all three tunes and the factory tune loaded on it. I sure hope they passed it on to the new owner.
As others have stated, if you call the...
I did not know this thread was still alive!
This is exactly what I did. I went from a 2018 Raptor on 37s to a 2021 Lariat Ultimate, Lariat Black, Diesel Tremor, also on 37s. I drove Raptors for 10+ years, but I do not see myself going back anytime soon. My blacked-out Tremor has a Carli 2.5"...
For those who are interested in buying one, I did some battery / coldness testing and wrote my review in the Tremor forum where I use a similar forum name:
Dometic Fridge Testing and Review
The max is longer than the two hours I thought previously.
Here is the Power Point Timeout value that needs to be changed in Forscan: (28800 seconds = 8 hours)
I have the dual batteries and dual alternators on my 6.7L Diesel Tremor, so running a small fridge for 8 hours should not be a problem.
For those who want to run the fridge for longer, you can use Forscan to change the amount of time the power ports stay active on the truck. I am waiting on mine to arrive for my Tremor, so I will make the Forscan mod after it is installed. The maximum allowed is 7200 seconds for the Power...
OK, that clarifies things. I would not consider a 22' trailer small and with a dry TW of 640 lbs plus all the extras, you will be way over the capacity of any Raptor. My dry TW was listed at 720 lbs on my medium TT, but the Sherline scale shows it varies between 900-1000 lbs based on loading...
I agree. The OP should have no problem with a "small" utility trailer. Most trailers have a TW of 10-15% of the total weight of the trailer when loaded correctly, so anything less than 4000 lbs would be fine for our trucks.
I have pulled a utility trailer a couple of times without issues...
I no this is not your issue, but another strange one like FTO's issue of cheap cell phone chargers.
I had a friend who had aftermarket wheels and tires installed by the dealer before he bought his new Jeep. He had it in several times for service because the TPMS sensors were not working. It...
I have sold several used cars to Carmax on the past, but they frown on modifications. As others have said, they will offer you more for a stock vehicle because they will have to replace the aftermarket with stock before certifying and selling.
Unfortunately, they are not an option for me.
While not a bad idea, it is unrealistic for my situation. I have Geisers, Deaver +3s, 37s, frame-horn cut bumper, Full Race IC, just to name a few of the "difficult" to go back to stock items. I did not want or keep the factory take-offs, so going back will cost me far more than I could...
With the crazy prices on used Raptors, I am considering selling my 2018 which has a good amount of modifications. (See my build thread in signature) I have finished the build on my 2021 Tremor, so I really do not need two trucks, plus my GT350.
What are the best websites to list a modified...
Yes, the tank size is is one of the big decisions when looking at the SCAB vs SCREW for the Raptor. I am pretty sure they stopped making the Raptor SCAB, so 2020 might be the last year to find one. As others have said, I doubt it will fit or Ford would have made it a standard option. ;)
