We have a winner... It's an alternator! Good thing I opted for my extended warranty. It just paid for the diagnostic and the install. Would have been $800 out of my pocket :S

My girlfriends father had his from new until 170,000kms and it still looked practically new by the time he sold it. No problems that he told me. 2010 scab with 5.4l engine. Maybe I'm more picky with things like, a warped dash, seat heater not working, trim falling off, wiper motor grinding...

Good thing for warranty! I love this truck, but it's seen more shop time then anything else I've owned! Aw well

Corona Raptor: I live in Northern Alberta. A few hours south of there longitudinally. Fast Eddie: I just ordered a Denso HID kit last night, but only have stock headlights. I'd still like an additional light source for the long distance to snipe moose and such.

I should add the disclaimer that I wouldn't be running these with anyone else on the road. I certainly know that on rural roads around here, everyone uses off road lights
