The logic I am going with on upgrading from a 35" to 37" and 12.5" to 13.5" tire is: on the 13.5" tire width would result with only a 1/2" wider on either side. So the tire will stick out a 1/2" more on the outside and 1/2" on the inside wheel well. On the height, that same principal applies...
It's time for me to change tires and always had my eye on the toyo open country mt 37"x13.5/17. I like the factory rims and don't plan on changing them. I want to upgrade the tires from the stock 35" BF Goodrich to the Toyo
37" x 13.5, which is both taller and wider. Has anyone done this...
I made my own brackets. I went to the local hardware store and bought 2 - 48" aluminum square tubes and cut them down to size so they can be bolted on directly to the truck frame, from end to end. I mounted the 4 gallon aluminum air tank upsidedown inorder to use the tanks brackets and bolted it...
Yes you are right about the switches but my reasoning is switch 1 is the only switch I can clearly see when am sitting. The gear shift obstructs the view to all the switches except for #1. I want to see the switch to avoid inadvertly driving with the lights on, so it's important for me to have...
SWITCH #1 - amber warning led lights in the grill and the rear.
SWITCH #2 - air compressor shut off switch
SWITCH #3 - NOT USED (yet)

This is a dual fire truck air horns attached to a 4 gallon aluminum tank with 200psi pressure switch and quick connect air on demand in the rear. I also custom intstalled AIRZENITH digital gauge. here are some pics.
Here is my most recent project. I added four whelen TIR3 led amber warning lights. I got them from www.strobedepot.com for a good price. I also added two in the rear below the lift gate. Everything is hooked up to switch 1 on the raptor aux switches. Attached is a video.
I don't remember the brand. They are real attention grabbers. I rarely use them on the road. Below is a video of what they sound like.YouTube - Ford Raptor Air Horns
That's the air pressure gauge. It's made by air zenith. When the ingition starts, it displays the voltage for one minute then the air pressure is displayed. The gauge came out to be the exact demensions as the 12v outlet. I had to do some cutting on the backing of the 12v outlet to make it slide...
