Do you have a 2018 by any chance? I experienced the same issue with the MPT tune. I removed the MPT tune and started using the Whipple tune in hopes I wouldn’t get the wrench light again. I wonder if Whipple is aware people are experiencing this issue.
Brief run down on why I’m asking this question. I jumped onboard the Whipple group buy and while I waited for it to arrive I got contacted by MPT to fine tune their 2018 tunes. Took my truck down to their shop and had them dyno tune the truck. Had the MPT tune for a month or so then had the...
This is more of a question using the Ngauge. What is the highest/lowest knock you’ve seen? Every time I see the first red light come on on the Ngauge I immediately let off. I think I’ve see it go to 5 for a split sec. Usually happens when the engine is still cold and I’m accelerating in a higher...
Finally got around in installing this kit. Took me about 2.5 hours to install new gapped plugs, intercooler, and intake. Flashed the tune and went for a ride. I immediately noticed the low end torque increase. I’m very pleased with it. Now, I also ran the MPT tune for about a month and I was...
I’m glad I saw this thread because I’m also experiencing a similar problem with my MPT tune. Both instances I was merging onto the expressway, once slightly uphill, with light throttle pressure, and all of the sudden the truck shuddered and wrench light came on. Neither times I was using cruise...
The wrench light turned on today. Truck feels like it lost about 1/2 of its power. Turbos only spool and produce about 8 psi. I also don’t hear that wastegate clicking sound on the driver side any more which makes me think that the turbo or wastegate on that side may have an issue. Have to take...
Well, I got the same notification today. Truck feels like it has no power at all. I can barely get up to 10 PSI. Off to the dealer it goes and see what they say. Hopefully it's a simple fix.
In the time that it has taken MPT to finalize the 2018 tune, Whipple was able to get a tuning device to work on 2018s and threw it in essentially for free with their stage 1 kit.
I reached out to them a few times, even after they posted on FB that they needed a local 2018 Raptor to finish their tune. I got impatient and ended up joining the Whipple group buy. It was too good of a deal to pass up. You get an intake, bigger intercooler, and a tune for $1,399!
Can you post a list to see where we all fall? I thought I had a spot between 35 & 37, but haven't heard yet from Whipple and just curious to know. Thanks!
