Not to derail the thread, but have a random question for those that have done the spark plug change themselves. I’m planning on installing new shocks. While I’m at it, does not having the front shocks in place make it at all easier to do the spark plugs while I’m in there?
Here's what I have to work with, basically 2-3 inches front and rear. I think the rear might work with the tubes removed. How much does the standard Venom front come out?
When both are added, do they add any overall length to the truck? Dumb question I know, but my Raptor only has a few inches to spare to fit into my garage and I'd like to keep it in there.
Got to it with some tools and a new battery this morning. Disconnected it and started to chase wires to check for a loose ground. Didn't find anything, meter showed 12.8 across the terminals and the indicator was still green. Hooked the old one back up for giggles and everything worked.
I've...
I will have to tomorrow if the new battery doesn't fix it. Just not sure how it can be towed out of the parking garage. The truck only clears by a few inches.
2014 Raptor w/15k miles died on me today when I left work. Went to get in, fob not working. Tried the keypad, no lights. Unlocked with the key, no lights came on (dome, dash, etc). Stuck the key in and still nothing. Tried to jump start it and still nothing. Truck is acting like it doesn't...
First things first, I did a search but didn't see anything. If this has been covered already, my bad.
Anyone recommend a good one for the Raptor wheel? Can't seem to find one that fits around it.
I have the BakFlip VP on mine and have been disappointed in the overall quality. It's been on for two months with minimal use and has broken several times. They have been easy fixes (cable pulls separating and not allowing the panel to release) but still disappointed. Buddy bought the...
They must have changed it. Mine did not require drilling, was pre-drilled, and is expanded as wide as it will go. Also, the bottom of the end pieces flare out with any kind of weight in it which can't help with the falling.
Well, hopefully this thread will come up in a future search and do some good to keep another Raptor owner from making the same mistake. Had a bad feeling from the moment I opened the box too. Thing feels like it should cost $50 and not $300.
I had a Weatherguard saddle box on there before, but didn't like the look of it and don't need to carry that much stuff. Mainly a small tool bag, jack and some rags/towels. Like I said, haven't even had it off road yet and the damn thing won't stay in place. Only went with BakFlip because of...
Anyone have one of these and have any ideas on how to fix? Just got one for my new '14 and it keeps falling down no matter how I rig it. Changed the hardware to lock nuts since the clips broke on one of the falls. I haven't even taken it offroad yet, just commuting to and from work so far...
