Older generation of connector before we managed to source only the plug. You need to swap the wires coming from pins 3 and 5 in the small white connector at the other end.
@Kmandoske ^^
The provided clips are not the best but they are fully functional, you just need to spread them a little as you are installing them. If you are worried about the paint place a little electrical tape around the opening before installing. We have had no reports of the provided...
Sorry there where a small batch of modules with this reversed. Swapping the blue and red wires on the factory integration harness at the 2 pin white plug will resolve your issue.
The wire coming off the factory plug should be connected the wire on the center s2 to activate the cargo light function. The S2’s will not come on unless the ground is connected, there are several ground points around the bcm to use.
Must have cheeped out on the Gen 2. It’s pretty sturdy on the gen 1. You can also feed the harness under without removing the trim by gently lifting it away from the back wall of the cab and tucking the wiring in.
Which reseller did you purchase this from? Did it come with the S2’s installed? You do not need the bezels from the S2’s on the outside of the housing, they should be bolted in with no bezels unless you like that look, but it’s going to look a little weird and capture a lot of dirt.
If you want a better ground plane, you can bond the light to the body of the vehicle and run any form of ground plane antenna. For most applications this is used for a ground plane less antenna works just fine, but as with anything the more specialized the installation/requirements the more...
If you are looking for info on SWR from one of the GJ Motorsports antenna mounts take a look here https://www.fordraptorforum.com/threads/gj-motorsports-3rd-brakelight.61019/page-15
As fun as it is digging up old threads, seems you where on to something here. I just had a customer who's RPM's would rise when they used their VHF radio to transmit on 151.625MHz, once unplugged the problem went away!
I use the one listed on the product page but I might be biased ;) there is an all black version part number BR-158-B-S which is also available via amazon.
Got round to doing some long overdue as well as some early preventative maintenance last week.
* Rebuilt my 3.0 icon secondary front bypasses which was surprisingly easy
* New spark plugs in the top of the block, side ones will get done in the next week or so
* New air filter on the k&n intake...
Most of the discolouration is surface staining. There is a section on the back of one that has surface rust due to the parking brake cable rubbing on it. If the person buying them wanted them to look great I’d say send them to Valhalla Motorsports to be powder coated.
Depends on the frequency they use:
* CB - no
* VHF - FRS legal with an appropriate type approved radio (no high wattage radio is legal on this)
* Business band - Someone has to have a license for the frequency and approve you using it, most fully mobile business band frequencies are...
I mean if you want to get real technical none* of these radios are legal to operate on FRS/GMRS bands, so your only legal options would be a licensed business band or ham band. It should also be noted that none* of these radios have the correct type classification to legally be operated on a...
Yes the three red dots along the bottom are the running/brake lights, they are 1W each and are plenty bright enough.
Yes amber lights are the best color for dust lights, some people are running reds or other colors but not for use as dust lights. A lot of the event organizers require an...
