No regrets on the R. Every time I fire it up I chuckle that someone actually let them build these things. Just get used to driving around at 10-20% throttle - hard to find situations where I can actually go 100% without looking like an idiot and/or doubling speed limits… but I like knowing it’s...
my old '17 did that, this is more like....randomly at least once per minute if you leave it on auto. Dealership replaced the multi-function switch but apparently no luck. Just seeing if anyone else could corroborate.. not a big dealing the grand scheme but would like to get it sorted
I never had to use it but my research found that a) Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act means they can only decline a repair if directly related to a modification
b) very much depends on the dealer c) flashing back is simple and apparently leaves the same indicators as disconnecting the battery (resets...
Hello,
R was finally delivered in so my '17 is for sale. Single owner. 802A. No accidents - has a scratch on passenger rear fender from a sneaky mailbox. Been an awesome truck but apparently I don't need both... the his-and-hers option didn't fly.
Mods -- everything was done when I first got...
Congrats!
I'll have a very similar mileage '17 Avalanche (no bumper mods, no intercooler) but with a Snugtop cap for sale in VA in a few weeks if folks are still looking.
Another happy Goosetuned customer here.
I did the stage 1 - 93 custom tune & custom TCM. Truck drives beautifully in normal mode. Wife also commented on the improvement. In Sport mode and 4HI it’s hilarious how quickly this thing comes out of the hole.
I probably won’t add an IC as I prefer...
Hi wgr73
Could you PM me details on getting a stage1 93 + TCM tune from you? Truck is a 2017 with bone stock engine - do I need to order stuff from COBB first or do I just go through you. Thanks!
I went with one of these kits: https://www.lvjmotorsports.com/product-page/gen-2-relay-upgrade-mod
Happy with results - can run all the lights you want :)
I did TSB on my 17 and the new software Sport mode definitely shifts harder 1st->2nd putting around at <50% throttle. Heavy throttle feels fine, better, even.
Very interested to hear your results! I've not pushed my mine very hard (just some driving around dunes) with the cap on. Decent whoops/bucking bronco moments without any contact between cab/cap but still hesitant as I don't quite trust the c-clamps things on the bedrail.
I ordered a Snugtop...
So I bought the oil pan and tube and dropped off at dealer today... we'll see if they fit!
I *think*
plastic pan tube = HL3Z-6622-A
metal pan tube = LK4Z-6622-A
A bunch of the ford parts sites left off the front 4 letters so I was quite confused.
I had RPG bumpstops, deavers, SVC adjustable front collars, foglights, alignment, and a bunch of custom wiring done at SWAT customs in Fremont (Brian was shop lead). Shop did good work, IMO. I asked for "better than factory" on the wiring and their guy took a lot of extra time to wrap/run...
Thanks for pics! Yeah... I love the way these look but holy crap I am not ballsy enough to cut all that off. Wow. I was hoping for a just a "trim here and there" I guess.
