I'm surprised my bumper isn't getting any love. It looks like for the next DIY contest I need to buy parts of the shelf and install them and not make something from scratch.

So they can make more money off them and to piss you off.

The ones that I have work well. If anyone who had them and thought that the light was to bright I wonder if you were to use tinting spray to make it darker, it should work. This is the cleanest looking way to install license plate lighting in my opinion.

Doing a dove tail would be the way to go. I think having a plate would take away from the look. Here is a pic of my mic. paint skills showing the dove tail. lol

The run was a really good time. Well worth the trip. My only issues were a sidewall puncture and another tire going down at the same time with 5 miles left in the run. Looks like I backed over something unseen.
