Hey guys I have a wiring question. Just picked up an ARB CKMTA compressor for my truck. I plan on using it as an air compressor only. The main power harness is easy, but I want to use the stock upfitter switches to turn on/off compressor. Anyone have any history with doing this and how did you...
I am looking at this same set up. I want to wire to the standard upfitter switches in the truck. Did the compressor come with a relay that allowed you to do that, or did you purchase something else? I was thinking of wiring switch to the warn power interrupt kit if it didn't come with the right...
I won't say much other than 37's on 17 or 18" will get a lot more respect with the off-road community than 20's. If your concerned about clearance look into ko2 37's and there is a lot of threads about fitting them if you do off road.
If you can't get it done skip ford and go to a shop. My local Big O put mine to mid perch and did alignment for $200 when I bought the truck. I have since done it myself and you should be able to break it loose.
I was on the original order for the springs and have had them on mid perch since arrival. I love them over the stock springs. In my opinion they handle everything better than stock in mid perch (I don't jump but I imagine that is better). The g outs and chop especially were improved off road.
This my favorite light set up for the stock bumper, I just wish there was a face plate to make it all seem more flush on the bumper. Make it look more factory not like an add on. But either way this looks like what I will do.
I have been out there in July in prior years and still had some of the passes closed due to snow. Will be going back to Ouray this July and plan on making it through most of the passes again. Have fun, it is beautiful country out there.
I just finished my rear doors and the back wall/rear floor. I took it the step further and pulled he seat and rear carpet up a few feet. Unfortunately I took my before pic, and realized as I hooked up the carseat that I forgot to take an after pic. Haven't driven it yet, I will put up some...
The exhaust works great. I towed my trailer (7700 lbs) on a 500 mile round trip plus off road miles. In the right range you don't notice it, with the trailer on hills it can be a bit loud. I plan on doing some sound deadening to remedy that as 90% of the time it is just fine. I would recommend...
I have a 24" it's nice. 75 mph and you don't really notice it. It can be a little loud when under load or heavy acceleration but not too bad. It is louder than stock but I love the routing of it and it's out of the way of my suspension.
I just picked up a smittybilt x20 12k winch with synthetic and wireless control. Not even installed yet but appears to be the same quality as the smittybilt I had on my rock crawler. Never had an issue and the price point was always fair.
Good review from Trick_Raptor. Just to add some more when I'm not fresh out of the truck. Rebound is not Crazy compared to stock was on mid, but it's definitely more. That said I decided to pull out the tape and measure to see if the springs have settled. Since install with just some street...
Are you stocking the venom with winch provision? Also what are your store hours/days. Just realized you were AZ. I have to be in Phoenix area sometime in next couple weeks, might have to come by and look around.
For what it's worth... I just did a 91 mile desert loop today and after it all I will say my truck should be on bottom perch with its current setup. I've heard the '14 can be a little stiffer on mid and top perch with stock springs. It was definitely too stiff today with the Geiser springs on...
I installed my 24" last week. I have to say I love the way this exhaust is located and mounted. It's the reason I ordered it and was not disappointed, it's solid once you bolt it up! Just some around town driving so far. The wife hardly noticed the change from the passenger seat. It really...
