That's exactly the symptom. It's the vacuum hose connecting to the IWE switch (or something like that). I'm traveling and will post the TSB numbers when I get back.
Apparently, a common issue with F150's in general.
Front end grinding, noise due to vacuum hose/IWE connections. TSB available. Also have hard shifting on cold start which is another TSB. Had both done and my '17 Gen2 is driving much better. Did some digging and found this long thread at...
Anyone share a link to the TSB for th trans flash? Wondering if this applies to my Dec 2016 build as well. Hard shifting on cold starts but ok when I remote start for 2-5 mins before driving.
Started noticing this intermittently over the past couple of months. There was a recall on the airbag (I think) a while back and I'm wondering if the tech working on it made some adjustment to the steering column that resulted in this. It doesn't happen all the time but I'd say 50-60% of the...
Sorry if it's been discussed already but I just watched the TFL Truck review and they noticed a little stiffer ride than the '17-'18's due to the new live fox shocks. And definitely not as lush of a ride as the Gen1 - according to them. I love my '17 as a daily driver. normal mode is a bit soft...
it is interesting that the SM says that they've seen this happen in other F150's. Were those others also tuned? If not, it would seem obvious to me that you'd have a case for a warranty repair?
This absolutely sucks. If anyone finds some flame retardant insulation for the B-pillars, I would be interested in a DIY solution to reduce noise. This is a big time fail on Ford.
Adaptive cruise is awesome imo. The braking system in the adaptive cruise is a little slow but in light traffic, it works great on long trips. Lane keeping is OK on those long drives to remind you that you’re tired and need a 4th cup of coffee lol otherwise it is annoying, especially to your...
That’s tough stuff. Why not give Darin the benefit of the doubt? He’s been nothing but helpful to a lot of folks on this forum who didn’t even buy from him. It’s 2018 not 1988, the industry is very transparent these days and it isn’t hard to figure out fair market value for pretty much any...
There were a bunch of those dealers during the Gen1 days but many have them have just fallen in line with the others by now and are doing the ADM thing. I put a lot of weight into customer service and strong relationships. If you're willing to do a fair deal and get a high level of service and a...
I'd give 03'Darin a shout if you're looking to ship an order or are in central PA area. I bought mine locally from Boulevard Ford in Lewes, DE from Ryan McCracken who's now the GM at Pittsville Ford in Pittsville, MD. At Boulevard Ford, my family has bought cars from Daniel Jarabah who's a great...
You're a straight shooter and easy to deal with, Darin. Good luck and I think you'll find a buyer in reasonable time due to your willingness to work with buyers.
I think that volume is set either during your call or when the voice prompt comes on? Once the voice prompt goes off, the volume goes back to what was set on Sync for music, etc. This is what I tried in the past and seemed to work for me.
i had around 70 but mine was probably part of that factory recall just prior to the first deliveries in Q4 2016. I didn't mind the test driving...would rather factory/dealer find any problems first before I do. YMMV.
