I am so late to this thread, but from my experience with replacing the whole harness… I was reading about people unplugging down at the wheels and capping there… but I don’t know why they just don’t unplug at the actuator (source) on the passenger firewall and plug there?! Seems much easier IMO
It’s a true dry filter, no oil. And it is more of an oval shaped filter.
If you zoom in and look through the plexi-glass window on the intake, you can see the filter itself.
I sent a message into Raptor Retrofit about refreshing my OEM headlights. They look like snow globes and the light output is awful... This is probably the biggest eyesore on my truck and I want to get it remedied ASAP!
What colors and mods did you guys go with? Any pics?
My truck is white...
What all was involved? I would think you would just have to remove the emblem, remove the camera and wiring from the emblem, and run them back up into the tailgate and mount to the aftermarket tailgate handle?
I was planning on removing my tailgate step handle off of my tailgate, covering up...
I searched for about an hour yesterday to figure out how to get my ford emblem blacked out. I found a link to a company that custom painted them, but they seem to have gone out of business. I found a lot for non-camera emblems, and I did even find an adhesive black "ring" that goes around the...
I have probably debadged every other truck I have ever owned, just about... but for whatever reason, I like the badges on this truck and decided to just refresh them.
Edit: I say that, but then remembered the last two trucks I did, I just removed the chrome emblems and went with matte black...
I think I answered my own question... a closer inspection of the emblems shows a chrome trim around the black, and the raptor emblems are a metallic border
Hey guys, I am having a hard time finding out this information, pictures are not helping.
I am replacing the emblems on my truck, as age has removed some of the "clear coat" and black paint inside the emblems themselves.
I found the 6.2 and raptor emblems that are OEM, but I am having trouble...
Today, I got my S&B CAI kit in the mail. I had been wanting to replace the INJEN CAI that came with my truck from the previous owner. It looked like crap, the connectors were dry rotted, it just looked like a old setup that I couldn't even find on the net anymore.
I was going to give my...
This is where my buddies give me hell. I totally thought about doing it myself, but I just can’t bring myself to do it lol.
But, then they are the types that will straight up go to a junk yard to pull off used brake pads (I am not joking).
I originally intended to take some install pics to show progress along the way, but as I was doing it, I kind of realized that it is common sense and there are no tricky parts... replace and re-route as you go. So, I just wanted to write up a review/experience thread to whoever uses the search...
Yeah, I don't blame you for keeping it at all! I could care less about tech, so this truck just fits exactly what I want in one. "What else would I replace it with for the price I want to pay" is kind of where I am at, at this point. That was the trade offer, they are going to straight up...
2013 raptor:
A few nights ago, when we were working on the spark plugs, apparently we snapped the stock IWE vacuum line on the passengers side as we were working through the wheel well. I didn't know a whole lot about how the IWE system worked, so I did some research and learned myself some...
This makes me wish I could go back to 2019... bought a ram rebel that year, for 25% off sticker price... god I miss those days.
Before I bought my raptor, I tried to buy a 2014 6.2 FX4 and the dealer wouldn't sell it to me because I didn't have a trade in. And when I tried to trade my other...
Interior plastic paint, has NEVER looked good on any used vehicle I have EVER looked at... especially the krylon plastic fusion spray painters... :signs16:
And at that price, they could at least fix the dent in the lower front bumper lol
That seems to be the market though.
150k miles = mid to high 20's
100k miles = mid to high 30's
70k miles = low to mid 40's
less than 10k miles... 60 and up...
This is, at least, what I remember when I was doing my shopping. I saw rusty northern trucks going for ridiculous money. Even a...
after messing with my pigtail trying to make sure I had ground, I went to pick up my oldest from school and for giggles, tried to enable the camera again... and it stayed enabled this time. offroad mode + diff lock = working front camera again.
I am not going to complain, just quickly cancel...
