My headlights are crapping the bucket. My passenger side sometimes sticks on high beam or low beam, and the housings look like ass.
I looked at options, and I think I am going to go with the Morimoto XB LED lights.
However, I can't decide 2 things:
XB or HB Hybrid
White or Yellow DRL...
Just to update myself, I took a tip from this playbook:
I found some gun case expanding foam, and wedged it up in a tight grill spot, that holds the blend door on re-circ. There's no way I am spending 1700+ bucks to get the opportunity to swap between fresh air and recirc. If I want fresh...
I finally took a moment to go out to the shop and get the blower motor off so I could get a look up in there... my blend door actuator is not the problem. My blend door itself is broken and wobbling all up inside there.
This guy explains the issue and the fix, it looks out of my physical...
Are we thinking of the same actuator? This one is the fresh air/recirculation… it’s on the far right side of the passenger side of the dash… inches from the door and firewall.
I took a minute to take a look before dinner… if I pull the access panel on the side of the dash, and the glove box down, I can just see it back in the back of the dash. I can visually see one bolt.
I think, if I pop out some wiring harness Christmas tree connectors, and remove a bracket… I...
Hey guys, on my way to get my son from school, I noticed my air wasn't blowing that hard. I figured out that even with the recirculation button on, the sound/pitch of my air didn't change. There was no noticeable difference between off and on.
If i turned truck off, and just used accessory...
carfax looks goofy for a government vehicle though. Not really any service records at all, and I figured it would be the exact opposite. I have never owned a gov vehicle, but I have owned a truck that was leased by a company and those service records were dealership only, and impeccable.
I was googling around, all the border patrol (gov) raptors I see still had the upfitter switches... I can't tell about the shocks, but what is the point of a raptor without the suspension?
I would in no way purchase that truck, I have my gen1... I was just "contracted" by my neighbor to find his son a truck, and this one was within the budget. But, it appears a bit too rough for what I know he's looking for. I was just noting some things I saw in the pics... I had originally...
I was trolling AutoTrader to get an idea of the current market, and I ran across a 2011 raptor that appears to not have fox shocks, or the upfitter switches...
Was this a thing in 2011? I thought all raptors had those two items... it did look like a base model truck, however... and I love the...
It's a pricey mod... that shouldn't be at all, but such is the market.
I can already feel the hate I am going to get posting this:
That was the best deal I could find and it actually came from RockAuto
On top of that, you will need some m6 bolts to fill in the holes.
I’ll just grab a spare rim, a sack of quikrete and some 2.5 tubing… have em up and running in a half hour, long enough for the booze to kick in and stop me from laughing
Finally tackled my drive shaft slip yoke, it was a slight pain in the ass, but it went together. Just had trouble getting the clips in on the axle flange side.
However… no more clunk, used the ford grease, and the free tooth brushes my kids get at the dentist to get it down into the yoke.
