    My Carmax offer 9-25-20

Define "brand new". My family jokes with me that when it's time for an oil change, it's time for me to get a new car. LOL My Raptor was 17 months old with 17,000 miles - that's far from brand new. As for your point about what the Raptor as designed for, my girl was 100% a pavement queen...

    My Carmax offer 9-25-20

I switch cars often - usually every year or two - so it was time. I use to have 2015 Tahoe and enjoyed the truck, so I decided to go with a Cadillac Escalade. I found a 2018 with super low miles at a really good price, so I bought it. In all the trades I've done over the years, I've never...

    My Carmax offer 9-25-20

I sold mine to CarMax two weeks ago... 2019 with 17k - everything except for Recaros, Carbon and Graphics. $61k They sold the truck for $64,998 within just a few days.

    Well... I did it

BTW... I joined the Cadi forums and I was so excited to leave 911Crazy behind. Nope... he's just as active over there as here! Is that even possible?!?! LMAO!

    Well... I did it

Thanks Corona, but actually went with 32 spinners. Here's my new ride. I'm hoping OldFart will go for a ride with me... shirtless. ;)

    Well... I did it

I sold my Raptor. I recently bought a 2018 Escalade, and out of curiosity, I swung by CarMax just to see what they’d give me. They gave a great offer so I sold it on the spot. A huge thanks to everyone on here... you guys have been a lot of help... and good for a ton of laughs. I’ll...

Kirkland Signature Full Synthetic Oil - Great Value!

I’m still working from home, so other than weekend errands, I haven’t been putting on many miles. I have my Blackstone sample cup, along with KS oil sitting in the garage waiting. I recently change the oil in my Mustang and used the KS 5W 30, so we’ll see how it does in the Mustang as well.

Y'all said this day would never come.....my new Prius!!!

I was referring to spending time with your truck, not mine. I thought you were in VA Beach now, no? Or did I misunderstand?

Y'all said this day would never come.....my new Prius!!!

911 Crazy... are you at least able to swing by and visit with the truck while down in VB?

    Tail gate applique, Amazon/ebay applique

Theres a ton of threads on here about this topic. Some say to find someone to swap tailgates with, others say to do as you suggest. Here’s an interesting post on how someone had their dealership epoxy the appliqué to the tailgate. And based on the reviews on Amazon, where several have fallen...

    Missing antenna mount cover

I had no idea this was an issue. I’m guessing this only happens to those of us with stubby’s?

    At Dealer NOW

Like 911Crazy said, we need more info on the truck. Without knowing more, and assuming its a nicely equipped 802A, I'm with Corona - offer $65k.

    Towing with my 2018 Raptor

Ugg... I understand the Raptor is rated to 8,000 with a WDH. I get it... I understand that... I'm with you. However, the stock Class III hitch IS NOT rated to pull an 8,000 lb trailer WITHOUT a WDH. That's all I'm trying to say.
  16. JohnC12

    Towing with my 2018 Raptor

It means just because the hitch, with a WDH, is rated to 11,000 lbs, it doesn’t mean the Raptor can pull that much weight. And the factory rating of 11,000 lbs is only when using a WDH - otherwise, 5,000 lbs. Someone above mentions that they’re towing an 8,000 lb boat without a WDH thus being...

    Towing with my 2018 Raptor

As mentioned, and reverse of what you mention, don't think that just because the truck is rated to 8,000 lbs that your hitch can handle it. ;)

    Towing with my 2018 Raptor

The GCWR on the Raptor is right around 14,250 lbs, so keep the truck itself as light as possible. And like everyone has already mentioned, a WDH is a MUST! The stock class III hitch is rated to 5,000 lbs and 500 on the tongue - WDH will increase the stock hitch to 11,000 and a 1,100 on the...

    New Guy from VA

Thanks for the info. I too am in Northern Virginia (Leesburg area) and Koons Sterling is normally my go to for car buying. And my family has been buying cars from Brad Phillips for years - he's the best! Koons is great, but this is the first time I've heard of Koons selling a Raptor for a...

Kirkland Signature Full Synthetic Oil - Great Value!

Yeah, I’m still waiting to rack enough miles to obtain a good sample to be tested. I currently have Mobil1 sitting in the truck and I’ll get that tested first. I’ll then buy the KS brand and test that oil... but not driving much these days, this is going to take awhile. On a side note, I...
