Short sided dealers trying to get their pound of flesh any way they can. Thankfully the ford CEO is going to put these crooks out of business in the next few years with flat non negotiable pricing. I ordered a lightning last year. Truck arrived while I was away in Europe. Got home Monday...
As mentioned last month you should watch this video. Ford has already won some dealer battles in the court system. I’m telling you this IS going to happen
I’ve heard many trucks built prior to may have had A LOT of issues including many needing engine replacement so be sure to do a very thorough inspection and I’d be prepared for some post delivery issues.
Having done full PPF on at least 20 of my cars in last 10 years I would agree you need to remove some areas to ensure no exposed edges. The most critical aspect is the installers experience and I would expect this to run around 8-10 k for a big truck like the R.
One thing you have to be...
I got call about an avalanche 23 Available yesterday as well and a code orange 23 incoming at another. One asking 50k and the other thought “around 30k”
Yeah I’ve been offered a 2024 allocation for 30ADM. I’ve never paid a markup on any new car before and have multiple exotics and high end cars so not sure I’d be in for an occasionally driven truck.
many dealers are still asking 10k for standard spec 35s had one reach out to me yesterday as someone backed out.(big shock) Truck was avalanche but very low options and they still were asking and firm at 10 over — lol — it’s so ridiculous these dealers are unreal. Who’s paying these adm for...
It's really quite simple. Invoice pricing dealers pay is on average 6-14% lower than MSRP depending on model. Dealers are ignoring the MSRP anyway and tacking on 10-50% extra. It's better for Ford to just sell cars/tucks direct and keep the 6-14%. Again, if you know any dealer owners, which...
Close family friend who owns several VERY large dealerships in Los Angeles and is in regular meetings with ford top corporate. Ford is already trialing this with the lightning and bronco and many of the majors are looking into this or starting already. Of course there is push back from the...
Ford is going to start going direct with customers in 2024/2025 and all the ADM over MSRP will end. You’ll just need to build your car and order online and pick your delivery dealership who will be paid by Ford to prep the car.
Dealers historically have always made the lions share of profits...
I asked the same question. He send me the dealer and I talked to the SM who told me they only had one R allocation and that sold in December. The one mentioned was a standard v6
I’d do a 25k adm max. Hoping interest rates keep climbing as I think that will hurt these huge ADMs although I think most banks will only finance MSRP?
That is interesting and likely true about banks using the VIN to show a Lariott. That said with the way car/truck prices are right now, many selling for over MSRP, most banks are asking for a window sticker to determine the finance amount allowed since they dont want to be holding the bad on an...
I agree. I’d probably get the tremor. Not sure if Roush is warrantied like my Shelby is. Shelby has an arrangement with ford and they cover all the same warranties for the same time/miles. You just have to have it done at ford dealership that sells Shelby. Shelby also has specific ford...
Towed my new Malibu m240 home yesterday. 12,000 pounds over mountain passes. Truck did unreal although a touch of squat. Never broke 1400 rpm going 65 over the mountains. Unreal. 12.2 mpg wasn’t terrible
Well amazingly I’ve had the truck for about 6 weeks and it’s been amazing. Pulls 12k like an absolute beast. Fit and finish are spectacular. Given how limited they are I’ve already been offered 20k over sticker (what I paid) so looks to be a decent investment thus far.
