My truck is similar. It's a 2020 but I have a Cobb FMIC and CAI. I'm running a Stage 2 tune (via Goosetuned) and the OEM+ Cobb TCM tune. I'm light on the throttle and hover around 14.9mpg (mostly in town). Our gas is atrocious and so is our weather right now (in AZ) so I do add a little E85 to...
For me, it has zero to do with it being a comfort thing and too loud. It has to do with it sounding like shit. I had Borla ATAK on my 2012 with the 5.0 and it wasn't loud enough. The Gen 2 just needs to worry about being seen not heard. It's the chick that's a 10 until she starts talking.
:word:
I would change to a quieter exhaust in a heartbeat. I wish an aftermarket company would come out with a "stfu" muffler for the Raptor. You'd have my money.
I have a Ryobi 1600psi 1.2GPM and it works fine. No proprietary fittings to deal with. I bought a 40-degree nozzle and I changed out the orifice on my foam cannon and it works like a charm. One day I may upgrade to a Kranzle-esque washer with a better GPM, but for right now this ~$115 unit gets...
:hahano:
I owned a 2012 F150 SCREW for 8 years and the seat had no issues. I didn't think I'd have to wine and dine this one to get it to comply. I'll rep out a couple sets with the pink db's and give it another go!
Thanks, fellas.
Under normal driving conditions, the rear driver side seat(s) stay in their upright and locked position. But, under moderate braking (not even close to locking up) the seats slam down with a vengeance. Has this happened to anyone else? Is there a quick fix? I'm trying to avoid a dealer trip and...
That stretch of road leading into Big Bear can almost do it for people that don't get motion sickness! Was at Snow Summit for the first time weeks ago, and my buddy was getting a little green in the passenger seat.
If you're questioning it, don't do it. I'm running a Cobb Stage 1 (Goosetuned) and I'm well aware of the fact that I may have to face the music one day. But, the thought of not fully enjoying my expensive truck until it's 10 years old was MORE daunting to me than the prospect of a denied claim...
From everything I've read, AZ is at E50 now (rumor has it a station not too far from me still has E85, somehow). Would your recommendation still stand with the lower ethanol option?
(Thanks for the personal input on the DPC too!)
What's everyone running as their DPC number? I know the default is 3 and I've only played around at 4 and 5. I'm trying to find that Goldilocks number and I'm curious to see what others are enjoying. FWIW - I'm running the Sport TCM and I keep it in normal.
Depending on how many bikes you need to transport, you could try the in-bed rack that RockyMounts offers. You should be able to transport three. Here's a pic of mine. Note* this is a 27.5 short wheelbase bike, my XL Ripmo does not fit in the bed with the tailgate up. This means you have to angle...
Oh wow, you're not messing around! Nice set up and thanks for the info. I have a 1600 Ryobi that does an ok job (although I have nothing to compare it to) but it's already died once. I'll eventually have to upgrade. Never thought I'd enjoy detailing but it's almost therapeutic!
Where do you find a 2.5GPM rig that can operate at 1000psi? I only see high PSI gas powered units at that GPM. I suppose if you use a super high degree angle nozzle you can bring it down, but to 1000psi?
I had the back camera issue and Ford replaced it. I experienced the same problem with the front, took the truck in last week and they said it was a software issue/update needed. It works fine now.
I'm with you here, Badger. I didn't start loving my Raptor until after getting it goosetuned and flashing the Cobb TCM. And for me, it's the overall improvement in drivability. From being able to turn off the awful ASS to the truck no longer skip shifting. The noticeable increase in hp/tq on tap...
I finished up having my truck goosetuned last week, after weeks of lurking this forum and reading this entire thread. I'm running a 91 tune and the Cobb OEM+ on the transmission. Night and day difference. The truck feels as though it's shed 500lbs. I can't get over how effortless it accelerates...
Yeah, sorry to hear about those issues with your new truck. I have a 2020 as well and had to have my backup camera replaced. Other than that, the truck is great (knocking on wood). I'm coming from a 2012 F150 that was fantastic, so I have high hopes for this truck too. Keep us posted on what the...
I did not print or in any way shape or form make the sign. The only effort is to hang it from the mirror. It came with the product brochure that the detailer provided. It just says "this truck was treated with a ceramic coating...". I understand it seems OCD, but the coating was not cheap and I...
Hey TX, yes it is but the sign is mine. So, I had my truck ceramic coated and Feynlab included that sign along with their product information. I hang it up whenever I go to the dealership for a little extra peace of mind.
