Cobb sport tune is nice but I get a savage bog from 4-5 after it's been sitting. It's like clockwork leaving my office - same spot every time unless I baby the hell out of it. OEM+ doesn't do it but it's not nearly as fun. That said, all of this is better than stock.
I couldn't tell any difference in sound (already knew not to expect performance gains). Bought it at the same time as the Cobb FMIC so it was more of an expensive add on/impulse buy. Oh well - it does look good as others mentioned if you're a pop the hood kinda person.
I use the Weathertech one and the fit is great and it's relatively easy to take up and down. Only gripe is the adhesive for the velcro melted quickly. Sure I'm in AZ, but you would think a product intended to get a heat beat down would use something a step up from Elmer's glue.
I've had them for about two months now with no problems. I can get you a video later with them at night if that helps. I've heard about quality issues so I still have my stock ones in the garage. So far so good.
Weird - I have something similar happen but it's not elicited by the same activity you describe. I hit a weird dead spot when the truck hits 4th gear at slow speeds. It's like it bogs down momentarily (that engine braking feeling you mentioned). I either quickly let off the gas or power through...
Thanks for the reply. I should have specified that I was hitting on the glass since it seemed like the only way to trigger the horn to confirm the system was working in the first place.
I purchased it because I read so many posts of it being able to pick up on more subtle acts such as door...
I installed the perimeter plus yesterday with the BajaMod bracket (2020 truck using the KN1Z-19A361-A unit). Even with the sensitivity turned all the way up, I have to give the window a respectable hammer fist to get the solo horn honk. I've read all threads on this system, and most report...
I haven't been on this forum that long, but I feel like I see the opposite. People spending awesome amounts of cash on badass projects vs. MacGyver mods.
But yeah, no doubt OP, there are some talented people here who can fabricate anything with a toothpick and a bandaid. You just have to...
I might be an isolated case, but I had a hard time with the Fuel-It tester. I picked up this one https://www.amazon.com/dp/B073HLSVHX/?tag=fordraptorforum-20 and the results were clear as day. Once I knew it tested as E85, I used the spreadsheet Winfield provided for the ratio.
Goosetuned E50 is the real deal. I was questioning driving across town for E85 and testing it and now all of those reservations are gone! It's incredible how the difference is noticeable - everywhere! Overall drivability improved drastically for me and that's coming from an already badass Stage...
On Point Performance in Glendale. I drive from Scottsdale to see Joe Daro because he's the man. As honest as they get and his prices are very reasonable, in my opinion.
He's done a lot of work on the truck's Stage 3 Motorsports showcases.
I live in Phoenix as well and last summer was one of the hottest on record. No issues. I do run a couple of gallons of E85 in the summer months though (per tuner's suggestion).
Yeah, worth messing around with since it's so easy to switch back.
I'm kinda digging OEM+ with DPC at 3 and then toggling on the truck's sport mode. It seems to be that happy middle ground I've been searching for. In normal mode, it's still great, but then switching over to sport wakes it up...
I just can't find a dynamic pedal control number I like. 3 is ok but I have to stomp to get into it. I ran as high as 7 but that's too twitchy. Love how easy it is to change it on the fly, though.
Another 2020 Stage 2 Goosetuned with TCM here. I fluctuate between OEM+ and Sport every so often. I get a weird 4-5 shift once in a while, but overall it's awesome and waaay better than stock.
Driveway. Converted my garage to a gym years ago, so both vehicles sit outside. I knew the Raptor would before I bought it, so I got it ceramic coated within the first week and I wash it at least once a month. AZ sun is brutal.
