No, the Wilwood rotor isn't any thicker or even larger diameter than the stock (well, my R1 concepts) rotor. They just sit more in board towards the knuckle to gain additional clearance with wheels. They def will work with a stock setup, but if you have aftermarket knuckles (like a mid travel...
I originally purchased the wilwood kit. Easy to install as the bolt up using the factory holes. But…. They didn’t work. I have a rouge stage 4 setup with upper/lower control arms and knuckle. The fabricated knuckle sits closer to the rotor than stock. And the wilwood rotor is more inboard than...
Sorry. Never saw this. I think all the sinc two stuff works. Everything I’ve tried works. All the steering wheel stuff. All the functions on the screen. Back up camera. Plus wireless CarPlay.
just put in the newest, largest one they have on my 2012. works well. everything worked out of the gate. instructions are lacking. the only one i had to play with some was the back up camera as there are mult plugs and video imputs and i wasnt sure what was what. a little trial and error, and it...
Bringing back an older thread. Just ordered a 13” android 12 unit for my 2012. Hope most of the bugs are worked out. Anyone have any updates or anything on these A12 units?
gotcha. maybe im thinking of some of the "mid travel" kits. sometimes in my head they are all "long travel" as they are longer than stock. I think some of them do use stock axles, but yeah, looks like some come with parts.
but that still needs to be accounted for in the cost. the RPG kit does...
one thing to consider is the axles. not sure how deep you want to go into it (or how much money you want/are willing to spend) but some of the kits require longer front axles. Some do not and the only longer ones are pretty pricey (in the $1800 range i think)
so just make sure you are comparing...
I so want to do this (well an engine build, not nec a big stroker). I'll def be watching this thread to see how it all turns out. I might have found a doner complete raptor motor. Its pretty cheap, but it says the motor is for parts. they say the motor sized up, but they could turn it but heard...
Damn. I was just taking some measurements and looking at the 10" sub wedge, I thought would be perfect. I have a tuffy box in the back. the sub would almost fit. its JL says its 19" long and right where the cup holder flare is on the side compartment of the door is 18 3/4" ish. could prob get...
Well, the 2010-12 (i have a 12) do have a sinc system with buttons on the wheel. they also have cooled seats (mine does, love that here in FL). Mine (as mentioned) cannot be upgraded to sinc 3 like a lot of guys do, but there are plenty of aftermarket headunits that have touch screen and add...
Cool. thanks for the link. I'll have to look at them. Since i have some of the older retrofit HID from dawson, I wonder if i could just pull them apart and fit those in pretty easy. that would be cheaper than a lot of options. I just had my lenses professionally sanded and cleared. so they are...
Did you bleed the ABS? most guys don't/forget about that. The old two man method of pump and hold, or even using a pressure bleeder doesn't work all that well these days. I went through like 6 bottles of fluid on one of my cars after having the brake calipers painted. I was banging my head...
yeah, i guess thats the way of things these days. everyones costs are going up for materials, labor, electric bill, shipping, etc. I def didn't pay that. glad i got it when i did
Actually, its the Dual 400 C setup (viair /n 20016)with stealth black 400c pumps. looks like it goes for around $788 online. I'll do $500 plus shipping (not sure where you are).
when was the price jump? I've had mine for several years now. really i got it and replaced my magnaflow because when i went to the Icon leafs and drop shackles, I was having clearance issues at the end of travel. not really a big deal. also when i went to a dovetail rear bumper, the stock...
Finished up the Long Tube Header install today. Long weekend under the truck. The bolts on the manifold are a pain to get out. Its just some gymnasics figuring out what size socket, with what extension (or wrench) works best. The best part is once you get the manifolds out and you feel like you...
I think if you are going to do a lot of airing up and down, two would be better. that and if you want to use tools.
If you are looking, I actually have a brand new Viair 444c dual pump kit for sale.
ended up putting a piece of wood on the front half of the lower part of the pan. by the drain plug. I removed the lower cross brace. seemed easier that way to have access.
When i first did it I placed the wood more in the middle of that lowest part (big piece of wood) and the jack was in the...
sorry for tagging everyone. just trying to figure out the best tactic here. I know this is an old post, but question as I'm in the middle of putting in long tubes myself. where did you lift the engine from? if you jacked it on the oil pan, where did you do that from? back by the drain plug? or...
