Interesting---Mine will get a ripple or two on a hard (25+mph)crosswind at even 65 or so. Even going 120 mine is not jumpy at all but that was with no crosswind.
Last fall went to NM and had 50mph crosswinds on one trip. Tough to keep the truck in one lane plus the hood did shake on the...
Thanks for the support ---- just glad I was not on a road trip to the ranch in NM or on my way to see my daughter and SIL in Charleston! That would have really ruined the trip esp--one wind noise and two Water if it rained!
It was clean as can be --- the grease on it still looked like it was just put on. Just one of those things that imho do not belong on a 4wd lol. Even had a friend that broke his while driving off road.
Maybe if I did use it more it would not have stuck like that while opening but when it...
Updated! Raptor At The Ford House! @#%(@%(!!!!!!
Only the SECOND time I opened the POS and it made a loud POP and would not close! Screw it--next time I will refuse to take a truck with a sun roof!!!!
Told them to get it shut then pull the fuse!! Paid for this crap!!
When the Super VRT went on the daily special I bought 2 more bottles... Some of the best if not the best I have ever used. Even did the trim between the doors and the plastic on the mirrors.
Going to be tough.. All of the lights are on one switch different relays.. That is the good thing about very low amp draw lighting. Can remember when the old 150 watt ea. daylighters actually killed the engine on my little Chevy Luv in 1980 when I left them on and the engine idling for 30...
I am not into "bling" only performance and not being pulled over by the POPO... Here are mine with the 50 Watt Power Supply and Osram Bulbs. Nice clean look is what I wanted plus these things are torches. Got the adjustment fine tuned today for elevation because the cut off is razor sharp...
The bar is the ok but you waste a lot of lumens and the throw is marginal. Go with the HID upgrade from Raptor Retrofit using the 50 watt ballast and Osram bulbs the the Vision X Light Cannons in the bumper cut outs.
After the 50 watt HID FXR "kit" you will not need any short throw light...
Well this is one of the best modifications you can make to the Raptor imho. The product is just outstanding and the amount of clean, sharp, excellent color with a very sharp precise cutoff is just outstanding. The comparison that I had with the factory lights even with different bulbs cannot be...
Ahhhhhh young grasshopper ask and ye shall find wisdom.. I am not about cool only performance. Lights that are on the hood will ruin a lot of the human eye's ability to see into the darkness because the ambient scattered light that must be processed. Additionally, any dust that is in the air...
UPDATE:
The night time performance of these lights are exceptional as expected. The throw on these lights exceeded my expectations and the beam is very tight with a little spill. Just in my very limited evaluation because of not wanting to get in trouble for blinding people or getting pulled...
James at AlternativeOffroad was good enough to arrange to have the only set left in the country (until next week) shipped to my installer today (great price as well) and when I say these are a game changer in the off road LED light market it is with conviction. Have been playing with high...
Ordered a high performance light today and when I went to the Rigid Site there is not much if any in the way of higher wattage LED powered lights. In my view this not good because it caused your company to be effectively eliminated as a potential source for me. Besides keeping the moisture out...
