RDS looks cleaner, pods brighter and won't ice over. I wonder if the pods will offer less glare than the RDS. My plan is 4 pods on the bumper and RDS on the roof. You really can't lose with either choice.
I spoke with the guys at Bubba Rope, and they recommended the 28,600 for our vehicles and use. Having used it, the 30 foot was definitely better. I would have ordered their gator jaw, but it wasn't available then.
I have never lost signal living up here or on these runs. Honestly mostly haven't used the radio much during the snoball because the communications are constant and important.
I used aux 3 and ran the lines in loom thru the frame 6 lights "off road only" brand they have a magnet in base that works well and I could move them to try different locations. There is a hole for screw fixation. Settled for one front bumper forward, one under trailer hitch, and 2 on each...

Cold and snowy weekend here in Northern Michigan. My LED lights are coated with snow and ice. No effective lighting. Old school HIDs are the bomb if you have to deal with ice. LEDs will not melt the snow. Rain-x...doesn't matter.
