I just did a 1000 mile trip to FL with the cruise locked in at 83 MPH most of the time and then 300 miles of city driving there and 1000 miles bat locked in at 83 MPH and averaged 15.6 mpg for the entire trip. I suspect the 83MPH hurt the overall economy.

Every bracket is the same. They ship from the factory with the bracket in the truck but not installed and it has two black pop rivets that hold it on. If you wan to remove it, you need to drill out the rivets.

The steering wheel is simply an input device it can't move unless the alignment changed or the splined shaft is disconnected, rotated, and reconnected.

Is the steering wheel off center or just the red stripe? Did you measure? most aren't perfectly centered on the wheel. I'm going to assume that you didn't knock it out of alignment off roading, but the curbs at Starbucks can wreak havoc on the alignment.
