That would be worse unloaded, those shocks need some weight to be settled IMO...Agree for the front Coilovers...every brand of 3.0"s perform well I think, there was no difference on the big stuff, but Icon rear shocks were definitely more confortable...However, that was much too weight for our...
Several people told me that Fox timetable has actually gone crazy last weeks/months, with waiting times up to 20 weeks...You will see your coil overs, maybe...one day... :lol2:
The french importer told me the story about your shocks, as he was quite disapointed to wait some much time, but...
OK for the oval hole story that moved bump kit frame up after taking some hard hits (and I can attest that JanT did put that truck to work lol)...
But if the U bolts are already hitting the frame, how could you go +2" of uptravel in extreme offroad mode ? I don't get it
2014RubyRed is right IMO, more travel is always better but the leaf springs would need to be little stiffer/higher...
We would better look to add 1 or 2 leafs, cuz buying/shipping the deaver springs was a PITA...Did it once thx to Jon but wont do it again for sure!
Hard to feel confident in the truck when you feel it's loosing control/traction over all the small stuff !!
As JanT said, adjusters on one side got ripped off day 1 so adjusting compression wasnt an option no more...High speed comp was obvisously too tighten (stiff), slow speed comp and...
It has to be the stock pressure, when coming out of the factory...Shocks are on rebuild right now and they gonna check the pressure and all other values to confirm everything was OK inside the shock...I read on that board that 200 PSI was a good pressure for the 3.0" ?
We were between 21 and...
Hi gents !
As my shocks are now in service department and are about to be opnened, I would like to tune the valving a little...
Basically the FOX rear 3.0" Shocks feel way to stiff for me, got a lot of bouncing, no matter if put the softest compression/rebound setting...On the big stuff...
Lol I wish it would be
like that, I spent first two days bashing JanT with #WhatareIcons but after two days I was like "Where's the closest Icon vendor plz ?"
Stock adjusters would have been damaged too I guess, but maybe still usable IMO...I saw the recent post of SVC on facebook on the new FOX adjusters and will go this way...
That said, when you ask sky high prices for "race" shocks, they should at least provide shields with it...
We did the...
Hi gents,
So we've been on an expedition with my fellow friend JanT and after only 2 days on the dirt I was missing all 4 compression knobs on my almost new Fox 3.0" ! Ripped off by the stone shower of the front wheel I assume...
So yea I know I will need some midflap, and I know I will...
I have to to confirm than Jan's truck was flying over everything in Morocco, those Icon shocks were impressive, and they actually held better than my rear Fox 3.0" who got totally ripped off with all 4 compression knobs missing after only 2 days in the dirt...Gotta start a thread about this...
That's true, all that hideous stuff is necessary here for rally racing...I'm sure they actually spent a ginormous amount of cash, to finally end with that horrible look...
That's funny to see the differences in modding the Raptor between the US and Europe...That truck is the classic example of how people here tend to mod their trucks...Fugly wheels, fugly flaps, fugly everything !! :win:
Just received my catch can here in France, it looks pretty solid...
Quick question about hoses connection. If I understood right, I need to find that arrow on the longer hose with check valve and point the arrow toward the intake...So it means air is flowing from engine to intake right ...
Palerider I can see a shit load of mud behind that muddy windshield !! :lol2: It looks like a dirty nightmare haha !
More pics of my setup, 37 STT Pro on D525 Fuel Revolver
I can't fully confirm what I'm saying cuz I installed mine a long time ago, but on the compressor you have a big plug in fitting (main power) that run 4 wires and dual fuses...
Then you have a smaller plug in fitting with only two wires (+12V and ground), which is the relay/switch harness...
