Unfortunately not… it’s a bit more offroad than that… looking at carrying a rally bike with the extra fuel across a rally route back to the bivouac for a W2RC event.

Any one got any more recent links / suggestions on how to fit/fix something in the rear to allow you to carry a heavier bike like a rally bike in the bed safely off-road?
Looking at taking the truck on sweep team duty for one of the local rally raids. Feedback welcome.
Coolant Change: Orange is discontinued - go for Gold or Yellow?
Gold is compatible with the 6.2 and it’s cooling circuit, listed for it 09-10MY. Yellow is the latest spec.
Need to replace the radiator, so will do hoses and water pump. This will be a full flush and refill.
Gold I have in...
There is that… but the opening to the car port is right onto the street and out in the sun. Better than when I did the plugs, coils and interior/exterior detailing back in August… was lows of 30’s to highs of near 50’C with high humidity and UV. Was brutal. Weather improving by the day now though…
Anyone able to confirm if this is the OEM / Motorcraft equivalent of the Roush / FEAD 3200mm belt?
Roush Kit: FEAD 6k - 6K3200-8620
OEM Equivalent = JK61013B / 7C3Z8620N ??
Serpentine Belt - Ford (7C3Z-8620-N) - 2008-2010 F250 Superduty 6.8 +AC
Got out the truck earlier and could smell coolant… it’s sprayed up for front behind the fan, across the RHS chassis leg, up the thermostat hose and intake pipe, as well as pooling at the front/centre of the motor and dripping onto the ground.
After and initial panic of seeing it around the top...
I bought these after someone posted this pic on the Gen 1 Raptor bookface page. Empi 86-2338-D & 86-2340-D. Pair of successfully rebooted CV axles (half shafts, drive shafts, as you like) if this is your pic and you’re on here, have a virtual beer you absolute legend. :favorites13:
Went to take mine off… same problem. Tried with a pry bar bar, no bueno. Need to drop the metal bumper and swap it for the annual test anyway… will try and get at the clip from the front once the bumper is off. Should at least be able to spin it round.
As above… mine is a 2014 Screw but I believe they are all small rack 1-5/16” tie rod and 2-1/4” rack OD?
Empi have kits… Empi most likely the OEM of the drive shafts, I believe they are Empi 86-2340-D and 86-2338-D part numbers, as taken from the Gen 1 Raptor bookface page. Some kind gent...
Not today, finished it last week before I went in for my ankle op after a test drive and day out on that bike… just wasn’t sure what to do or how to manage the pics. o_O:D
Hopefully this link will work… Raptor TLC Time
If not let me know and I’ll set it to public… should be ok with the link...
Thanks @Canuck714 I had a look back through some old posts on it plus I had a look at some of the videos on Haltec’s YouTube channel to remind myself of the basics of tuning.
Found a load of good info and can understand the points about adding fuel and leaving a lot alone. Makes senses when...
Thanks for taking the time to compare and share, much appreciated. Much more valuable to me than a hundred comments on the facebook groups saying “go JDM bro, you won’t regret it! YOLO!” Or words to that effect.
I’m sure there’s lots of decent peeps on facebook (Gen 1 Raptor group is a good...
Thread revival - I take it for all the Gen 1 6.2’s there’s no need to change the chain unless it’s showing signs of wear?
I saw a comment made about this on the Gen 1 Facebook group and I was thinking it was bogus. The whole point of going to chains was to get away from that.
Mine is 2014...
What are the differences between the JDM tune and the Roush tune including the transmission tables?
My mate was asking me about JDM the other week but I wasn’t sure to be honest…
I’ve got a 2014 Stage 2 and its not slow or lacking power by any stretch of the imagination… thing’s nuts for a...
Posting a new thread for this as I have a couple of queries which I haven’t found the answer to… truck is a 2014 6.2L for those searching for answers. Planning to do both the intercooler and main circuits.
Intercooler Circuit:
Volume - does anyone know what the approximate volume is?
Drain -...
Truck back up and running better than it ever has… runs and idles so smooth now, I‘d even say it sounds better, cleaner and more balanced.
No other major feedback... refitting the components is a lot easier once you’ve sussed out how to remove them. Refitting the 90deg bend into the blower is...
Anyone gone with a different interval for the plug change on the Stage 2 Roush?
My thoughts are that the 100k (miles) mark is a little far for the Roush to run sweetly… 60-70k feels like a better mark… but bugger doing that more often than its really needed. o_O:Big Laugh:
